Hello there Pinmapple Community! This is my first time writing here and I am very excited to write my experiences here in this amazing community!
Not so long time ago, when you look back on your life you can easily say that when you graduate from college you get to figure out your life. But lo and behold you are now in your mid-twenties and everything still seems to be out of place. Life became so busy and things just overwhelm us in a way we can't imagine. Though life paces so fast before our eyes, friendship still lasts.
I am here to share my get-together with my friends in Tabuelan, Cebu Philippines with you guys, how we have talked our life out after we graduated from college and how we survived life so far.
It was a normal day in November that I and my college friends decided to unwind and relieve our stress by traveling to the northside of the province: Tabuelan. We decided to have our little trip to Aikayes White Sand Beach Resort in Tabuelan Cebu Philippines.
This place is a great place to stay especially if you want to get away from the hustle of the city. This is a 2-3 hours drive from the center of the city. Their rate for our 6-person bedroom is 3,500 pesos and since we are 8 in the group the two excess paid an extra fee. They have a very peaceful ambiance, they have a pool that is open until 8pm and a long stretch of beach that you can enjoy whenever you want. You can look at the place in this link.
We settled first in our room and arranged our things. Since we arrived there at 2pm we just enjoyed the place and roam around to look at the view.
We truly enjoyed the scenic view of the sunset on the beach. I am always in awe when it comes to sunsets because this makes my heart flutter. It makes me realize that downs can also be beautiful.
During the nighttime, we are very busy because it is dinner time and we are very excited to cook our own food that we brought from their local market since the resort is not strict with the corkage.
The boys are the ones in charge of the cooking and we girls are the ones who are in charge of the table preparation.
Our dinner has been made more special because we are under this cute little tree. But most especially because we have prepared our food with love and we shared stories and waves of laughter all throughout the meal.
After the hearty meal, we enjoyed the pool with drinks that made us happier and more carefree. The place really has the ambiance wherein we can relax and release the stress we have. We also enjoyed the beach afterward with our drinks syempre hehe
It was around 8 am the next morning that we are able to get up from our sleep. Some of us really got a hangover from the night before but nonetheless, after breakfast, we enjoyed the beach and dipped our bodies in the crystalline water, and enjoyed a walk in the long stretch of fine sand.
This trip has been an emotional one because we catch up with each other's life after we graduated from college and how we navigated our life as young professionals. We shared how frustrated we are that we have not yet figured out life at this age, though in the end we also realized that life is not a race. We are not obliged to achieve what others do or be someone else to prove our worth. We are reminded of each other's importance, that in this life, most of the time, life throws sh** at us but with a strong friendship and a strong support group we can survive life and the true gem in our lives are the people who are willing to be there for us when everything will go south.
We arrived home with the hope that life will soon work out the way, or even better, we wanted it to be. That our dreams will come true and all of the struggles and challenges that we have encountered are just our stepping stones to a better destination.
