2021 has been a rough year for me. Dreadful things happened that I didn’t even know I could overcome. Thinking about it now, I can say that I am so proud of myself for how I survived every obstacles life has thrown at me. But of course, this year has also thought me many things and I also receive numerous blessings that I need to be thankful for. That’s why there is still the need to celebrate all the happy moments that happened this 2021.
Last December 29, 2021, my circle of friends decided to have an end-of-the-year celebration at Bienvenida Hotel and Resort located at Purok 4 San Juan Street Sto. Domingo, Albay. From the town proper, you can either walk or rent a tricycle to Bienvenida. It is approximately 40 mins ride from Legazpi Airport. The entrance fee for overnight swimming is ₱200.00 (approximately $4).

Brief History of our Group
Our friend group is composed of me, Mich, Julie Ann, Michelle, Jessa, and Carla. We were classmates since Grade 7 but we all became closer when we were already in Grade 10. We are all in our last year in college now but the closeness and the bond are still the same. We will be going on different paths after graduating but I hope that our love for each other will remain.
We checked in Room #15. The room rate is ₱2100 and it already comes with a smart television, comfort room, hot & cold shower, air-conditioning unit, mini-refrigerator, and a balcony. We decorated the room for our celebration.

After picture-taking, we ate dinner first before swimming. I was assigned to bring breakfast food. Jessa was assigned food for our dinner. She brought Adobong manok and cooked rice. Michelle cooked mixed vegetables, Julie Ann brought finger foods and pizza. Carla sponsored the room fee and she also brought light drinks and hotdogs.
It was a very long night. We just spent the rest of the night talking and sharing about all the things that happened this year.
We checked out at 9:00 AM. We took a mirror shot before leaving our room for remembrance.
The start of a new year brings with it fresh promises, resolutions, and life decisions. This is the time of year when we can all let go of old grudges and conflicts and focus on making things right for the coming year. No matter all the hardships that we suffer this year, we should always celebrate and thank God for all the blessings that we received.
