Hi Hivers! How are you today? I am excited to share with you my travelog series~ This time, I will share with you all the beautiful places I visited in Baguio. The places I’ll be talking about are only those I have personally been to and I can't wait to take you along on this trip and share all the amazing experiences with you! ⋆˚࿔
The first place I want to share is the place Old Diplomat Hotel or it is also called Heritage Hill and Nature Park Garden. Did you know, I had mixed feelings about visiting this place. Because while we were still on our way, we couldn’t stop talking about how this hotel is rumored to be haunted. In fact, it has even been featured in Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho (KMJS)! We were hyping each other up with all these ghost stories which made the ride even riveting. And out of curiosity, we did a little research while we were still in the car, we were trying to get more information about the place before seeing it in person.
When we finally got to the place, I expected to feel scared but surprisingly, I wasn’t! Instead I was shocked by how the place looked like because it resembled a church more than a hotel! I even thought it was a church at first but according to history it was indeed a hotel. Moreover, visitors are not allowed to enter the building so we only got to see the structure from the outside. Not that I wanted to go inside though! Hehehe.
Furthermore, just within the same area, there was a place that something that fence that have many padlocks. There's some new padlocks and others looked really old. It was amazing to see because it made me wonder about the stories behind those locks. Like were they left there as love locks? Were they symbols of promises? It was such a unique and fascinating sight.
More about the Place . ݁₊ ⊹ . ݁
Diplomat Hotel is a historical building situated in Dominican Hill in Baguio City. According to my research it served as a rest house and a seminary during 1911 before it was developed into a school and in time, a hotel. Despite being abandoned, the hotel still remains as one of the most marvelous place in the City of Pines. As I mentioned earlier, this place is known for being the most haunted building in the Philippines as it holds a dark history. Several people say that they see headless people inside the hotel during nighttime! It may sounds so spooky but the moment you'll be in the place you will actually be amazed on how beautiful the place is.
The structure is so cool, very historical vibes, I would love to go there again! It may be known as something scary, but actually no! It was such a nice experience. I would highly recommend it. ◝(ᵔᗜᵔ)◜
