Schönbrunn Palace in Austria, a place full of history

in Worldmappin2 years ago (edited)
Knowing details about the Schönbrunn Palace and those who inhabited it is knowing part of the history of Austria. Seeing this place in person is gratifying, for being a very big, beautiful, and old place, despite its obvious renovations and care. Visiting it completely would take all day, tickets to each space in the palace are purchased separately.

But going at least to the main Palace, the gardens and surroundings, is a mandatory stop if you like history and you are in Vienna and you enjoy history and architecture.

The rooms and all the decorations are beautiful, in addition, it is very particular that many of the spaces have different styles, quite extravagant, even today.

And another fact is that Princess Sissi (Empress Elisabeth of Austria) also lived here, who is very popular all over Europe, not only during her lifetime but also after it, she’s one of the most important historical figures in Austria.

Hello everyone! Enjoy the photos, and thanks for reading my post.

This is the most beautiful room in the palace, it was mainly used to hold balls and concerts:

This was the most expensive room according to the palace guide, you can also see an infinite reflection in the mirrors, which is what this room is also known for:

This is just a part of the garden, although the day was not too lively, it would probably be much better to go on a sunny day. The statues and the passages are very beautiful.

I've been countless times to Vienna but never visited Schonbrunn palace 😂 On your photos it looks exactly how I would picture it: Glamorous, gold, big and VERY beautiful.

Thank you for sharing!
