Visiting Wat Arun Pagoda & Chinatown in Bangkok Thailand

in Worldmappin12 hours ago

Hello everyone, today I am back to continue telling about my trip to Thailand. In the previous part, I introduced my tour in Pattaya and some famous tourist attractions here. After visiting Pattaya, we returned to the center of Bangkok to continue our journey of discovery. In this article, I will introduce to you some of my destinations on the first day in Bangkok.

After arriving at the bus station and taking the 11am bus back to Bangkok, we headed to the hotel to check in at 1pm, then we started our trip at 2pm. We took a taxi to a local restaurant near the hotel for lunch, then we took another taxi to our first sightseeing spot, the most famous temple in Thailand that you must visit once in your life, it's Wat Arun pagoda.

We arrived at the temple around 4:30pm, closing time is 6pm, so we had about 1 hour and 30 minutes left to explore. After watching a lot of reviews about this place, we decided to go to a nearby costume shop to rent clothes. The price to rent a traditional costume is 200 baht, about $6, there are many clothes hanging on a pole, you can choose any color you want. For this price, the staff will help you adjust the costume, do your hair and attach accessories to match the color of your costume. It won’t take too long to get dressed and style our hair, it took us about 30 minutes for all 3 of us.

Then, we started walking along the small street to get inside the temple. In front of the temple gate, we had to buy tickets to enter, the ticket price was 200 baht/ticket, not too expensive to visit such a magnificent place. We spent 45 minutes visiting and taking pictures at the temple, then we moved to the store to return our items. Let's take a look at the magnificence and grandeur of the temple in the pictures below!

We started moving to another famous place, which is Chinatown. This is a very busy walking street in Bangkok, we started walking along the street to visit, then bought some local food to enjoy, we had a very happy evening here. we were also quite tired after a long day, so we took a taxi back to the hotel to rest after exploring the walking street here. I will tell about my last day in Bangkok in the next post, thank you everyone for taking the time to read my post, I am very happy about that ^^

Hello! Thank you very much for posting in the Worldmappin Community 😃.

We noticed that you included more than one PIN code in the post. This is not necessary and can lead to double pinning. If you are writing about a trip with different points of interest, it is advisable to indicate only one PIN of the most important place or central location.

Double pinning can lead to problems for our curation, so if you keep doing it we can not guarantee you to be considered for our daily Travel Digest. Either use pinmapple or worlmappin but not both.

We recommend that you obtain the code either from https://worldmappin.com/, or by selecting the location directly on the small map at the bottom of the text editor in the PeakD interface.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact our team on our Discord channel.

Cheers!
