I want to show you what kind of street art you can witness when you visit the oldest city of the Netherlands. No it’s not Amsterdam. But nijmegen.
I can talk to you about the full history of nijmegen but I wanted to show you what kind of street art you will find when you visit this city.
Where do you find these painted white alls ?
You can find most of these painted walls in the centrum of the city in small alleys like this one.
Over the past 5 years the city of nijmegen had contracted people to paint some very nicely done art picketing the history of the city
There are also paintings that have been painted on the full length of a building.
Part of the history of nijmegen is that we were occupied by the Germans in the Second World War.
When the war was almost over. We got bombed by mistake by the Allies. Think we were a German city
In the corner of the painting it is saying in Dutch.

I remembered that the sound sounded like trucks late at night
In the rest of the city you can find other paintings that were just made to make certain places a bit nicer to look at.
