7000 is a fair amount of people for a small town but to me it seems tiny for the capital city of an entire Canton. It's hard to make a comparison to the UK to put it into to perspective because I don't really understand if the UK has provinces/states and/or how they are broken up. But for a Canadian comparison - the smallest province in Canada is Prince Edward Island and Charlotte is the capital of the province. The population of Charlotte is over 40 thousand people. Canada is a big country so its not a fair comparison but I just think it's funny that a capital city can be so small lol.
