Hello everyone in Pinmapple community, I am very happy to see you again, how are you today? And for me, I am ready to share my experience with you. As you know, finishing the previous visit to prominent places and experiencing special cuisine in Quang Ngai, today I will take you to another attractive place in Binh Dinh province, which is Quang Trung Museum. As far as I know, this is one of the largest museums in Vietnam today, this place holds a lot of valuable artifacts both materially and spiritually of the Vietnamese people during the resistance war against the enemy. Once again I have the opportunity to go to one of the provinces in Central Vietnam, so I am very happy for that. One of my first impressions when I arrived in Binh Dinh was the distinctive voice of this place, it is really a bit hard to hear for someone from another province like me, but this is also a typical impression when it comes to Binh Dinh. Follow me and I will show you more details below!
Quang Trung Museum is located about 45 km from the city center, it takes about 1 hour by motorbike. The museum is located on the edge of the city, you have to run a long way, but it is quite easy to find the way, you just need to turn on google maps and follow its instructions. We moved at 9:30 am, after a long way, we finally arrived at 11 am. You know, when we arrived we heard a notice from the security guard that it was closing time, we felt surprised and a bit sad because it took a long time and a long way to get here. However, he announced that it would reopen at 1:30 pm, we were so relieved and glad to hear that. Normally, this place will open in the morning from 7am to 11am, in the afternoon from 1:30 to 5pm, so we went to have lunch at a nearby restaurant and rested until 1:30 pm. After being advised by the restaurant staff, we ordered a few specialties here to try, the colors of the dishes are very beautiful, the taste of the dishes here is very good and suitable for us.
After eating, we rest for about 30 minutes at the restaurant and then return to Quang Trung museum. Finally, this place reopened after the lunch break, we were probably the first to get here because we didn't see anyone here except us. We parked the bike inside nearby and went back to the cashier to buy tickets to visit, the price of a ticket is 30,000VND/person. And the staffs here are very friendly and welcomes us, so I feel very happy ^^
The campus here is very large, there are many areas you can visit, first, we visited from the outside. Outside the yard is planted with many old trees of very large size, so when walking around this area, the atmosphere is extremely cool and fresh. Besides, there are a few houses for visitors to sit and rest or visit.
Going to the west of the campus, we see a small bridge crossing a small lake on the campus, which is also covered with many different trees, creating a fresh atmosphere. On the other side of the bridge is a communal house which is a typical house of some ethnic minorities in Vietnam. In addition, there is a small lake that houses some fish and other animals. Here is also a water lily, a very beautiful and aquatic flower.
Going inside, this is the main place to display the artifacts, from the outside, this place has an ancient feature with and wooden door and the ceiling covered by the tiled roof. Right in front is a large bronze statue of the famous hero of Vietnam, also the name of this museum, which is King Quang Trung (aka Nguyen Hue). If you are a citizen of Vietnam, surely everyone knows this talented king, he is a talented general who is not afraid to sacrifice himself to fight to protect the country.
Inside, you will immediately see 3 bronze statues of three brothers Nguyen Nhac - Nguyen Hue - Nguyen Lu placed in the center of the room. And as you can see there is a poem hanging above the 3 statues, this is the famous poem of King Quang Trung that is still handed down to this day. I think to commemorate their merits, people have cast 3 statues to display here.
The gallery inside is extremely large, with many large paintings depicting the landscape and life of the Vietnamese people in the past. Besides, there are paintings that simulate important historical milestones of the Vietnamese nation so that visitors can imagine the context at that time and the immortal spirit of the Vietnamese people at that time. And there are small pictures of important places on the wall below.
I was impressed by this model, as you can also see, this is a microcosm of real-life locations, thanks to this model you can easily observe the areas to be able to make important strategies.
Finally, you can see a number of antiques preserved and handed down from the years of resistance to the present. Some antiques such as weapons, household items, clothes, drums, jewelry, money, these are extremely precious objects left in history, so they are carefully stored at this museum. Besides, there are also ancient books written in Chinese characters on display here.
This place is really special for a person who loves to learn about Vietnamese history like me, I feel very excited cuz that I have chance to visit here. Hope that my article helps you understand more about Vietnamese history. See you guys next post!
