Greetings, travelers!
Today I would love to share with you the moments and the views I enjoyed around this beautiful church, built in the twelfth century. The locals call this old beautiful and I'd say charming small church "the church in the park".
Its official name, though, is St Peter & St Paul's Abington Church (https://www.abingtonchurch.org.uk/building-and-history/building-and-history-4070.php)
To tell you the truth, I do not know what brought us here. Our plans for that day were to spend some time only in the Abington park, but then there was this invisible force that acted as a powerful magnet and drove us inside the church yard. Now, after some time has passed and looking at my photos from that day, I could clearly say that power, that strong force, was Love.
That popular name, "the church in the park", is actually quite right, as the church is surrounded by the park and its cemetery is a part of the park too.
Reading the tombstones slightly reveals some quite interesting life stories, fairy-tales once told, perhaps forgotten, but not completely.
I think the photographs I took that day are quite unique.
The reason I think that is this colorful installation or I better say invitation to join "the Lord's Prayer Trail".
So, would you spend some time to talk to God?
The feeling to spend some time in that virtually empty yard was amazing. It was a business day and we could have it all to ourselves. The drawback to that was that the church building was closed so we couldn't enter it nor light a candle.
The positive side of that is having more time to walk around and appreciated the wonderful weather.
And of course, discover some interesting and cute details, which purpose will therefor remain a mystery to me.
But hey, who knows... I may have the chance to enter it, and why not, attend to their main Sunday Service :)
Another stone, another story...
One door, that is an entrance to heavens or a haven?
Such a peaceful place to rest...
The tower has been repaired in 1957.
Apart from the many small manifestations of Love, this day the brightest ones were the ribbons of prayer.
Some of them wishing for Health, some others sending love messages to the ones missed much.
All the way to the street, covered of Love...

Abington Church St Peter & St Paul (https://www.abingtonchurch.org.uk/building-and-history/building-and-history-4070.php)
