Exploring the scary abandoned house next to the Partnach Gorge

in Worldmappin3 years ago (edited)

As promised I will tell you in this post more about the abandoned house that we saw just in front of the entrance to the Partnach Gorge.

When I showed the Partnach Gorge to @martibis on his visit here two years ago he said on our way back, that he would love to see what´s inside of this house.

I honestly must admit, that I´ve never gone visit an abandoned place before (except for Berlins bunkers). So I was a bit nervous but also very excited. But at the same time, I knew that he did this many times before, so I had my own experienced guide (kind of) ;)

So we walked through the snow directly to the main entrance, passing the fence, and sneaked in real quick, without anybody seeing us.

As there was no sign saying that this is forbidden, I felt quite ok. And I must say from the outside the house also still looked ok - I surely was not prepared haha. - Or maybe I just couldn´t know what to expect.

The house was quite old. I tried to google it for you, but didn't find a lot of information. Only that its name used to be Restauration Partnachklamm and I found an old picture (source on the foto).

Exploring the inside we found a big living room and kitchen on the main floor.

Really spooky to stand right in the middle of it!

The stairs looked ok, so we went up slowly to the next floor. There we could see several small and medium-sized rooms that maybe were used as guest rooms. In some of them, there were grafities.

On the other side, there were bathrooms. As it is an old house it is not surprising that the rooms didn't have their own bathrooms, but shared the ones on the floor.

After that we went one more level upstairs, to also explore the rest of the house. - The rooms with the best view towards the Partnach Gorge and the mountains. Who knows what kind of famous people may have stayed there back in the days!! The vibe there was for sure very weird.

From there we found another door to get outside. As there were several wholes on the floor where you could see all the way downstairs and the house was really old, I was kind of glad to be outside again :D

Back at the car, we went to see some more nature for the big finish of the day - lake Eibsee. - As I wrote about that place before, I feel you don't need more info about it here haha. If you are interested look it up on Germany Part 5

Stay tuned and take care!

Sehr schöne Bilder. Ich liebe alte verlasse Häuser. Am schönsten sind allerdings die mit Einrichtung. Gruselig! 😉

Thanks @choogirl :)

I thought I was about reading a horror story but it was fun all the way, thanks for sharing.

If I may ask, what country please?

haha glad you didn`t get scared. It was in Germany :)

Lol, yeah.
Germany, just amazing.

Is Germany home or you on a vacation?

home :)

I don't think I would do this, the fear of the unknown is not going to allow me to enter the house, great post, and nice picture.

Good thing you can read about it then, instead of going yourself haha.
I wouldn't have gone by myself either.

Yeah, because experiencing it is not going to be funny 😄 .

haha exactly

Damn! You guys are so brave! We have all kind of abandoned buildings in my country too but as much as I love adrenaline and to explore unknown locations, I do have my limits too haha.

I can't imagine passing the door of one of these! But you have all my respect for everything you did there! 😊

Haha for me it was also an exception ;) If it wasn´t for martinis I wouldn't have gone :D It was super scary!

Even in the day, the inside has a very creepy vibe, what more if you guys visited that in the night.

We went during the day :D at night I wouldn't have gone there!!

I have to say, nature is stunning, but the building is so so so scary. I was all 😬😬 just by looking at your photos.
Great post. 😊👌

Hahaha yes, super scary! not again! :D

Looks cold and spooky, and the dark coats of you and Martibis adds to that, haha :). Stunning lake!

In movies, this type of abandoned house is always possessed 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣how did you do it and you were not scared

Oh I was scared ;) - I was just glad that I wasn`t alone, and I went out of there as fast as possible once we saw everything :D

That’s nice. You are adventurous 🙂
