That's a whole lot of stairs to climb! The design of the gate is beautiful, and fascinating that walls were built to divide cities in some countries many centuries ago.
It is very sad about the flooding, natural disasters are happening more and more all over the world!

Sadly, more or less, it's people's guilt. If we would stop causing all those disasters with pollution and illegal deforestation, the world would be a safer place. Just as it used to be a while ago.
There are news showing that the water from Hungary will cause floods to Romania soon, really praying for a miracle to happen as our country is out of any kind of grounding.. as it is in most of the cases ugh.
There was/still is drama on one of our major roadways with snow bringing traffic to a standstill on Friday; many abandoned their cars to get to food and shelter offered by local towns, so now that the road has finally been cleared of snow, cars and container trucks are gridlocked and authorities have to try and move the abandoned vehicles out the way. An awful situation!
You are so right, we are slowly killing the world! We're supposed to be well into spring here, snow in September is unheard of!
