Apple museum is ... was the first and only official museum dedicated to Apple (and in memory of Steve Jobs) located in Prague, Czech Republic. The museum was founded in December 2015; however, according to Wikipedia, this was permanently closed in September 2020 due to a heist of the collection.
I visited the Apple Museum in Prague in February 2018; therefore, the following photographs were taken by me. The staff was very kind to let me photograph with no policy against it.
The first thing that captured my attention was the portrait of Steve Jobs made by computer electronics, a true form of art.
With little information I know about the following picture I took, I think it was probably the (original) manufacturing design for the MOS 6502 microprocessor used in Apple computers at that time.
Well, here it all started. The following image is the iPhone prototype 2007, which was still functional when I visited the museum in 2018. I looked up the S/N which is 7R744BJWWH8 - and found only 4 or 5 results on Google related to this phone; therefore, anyone who will search for the SN of the iPhone prototype will likely come across this article.
Jumping across the following two images, we had on exposition the timeline of the iPhone and iPod until 2015 (if I am not wrong)
And here we have an original Apple II computer in perfect condition (from 1977). Or at least we had, and I am not sure where else in the world is displayed one as new or evermore, who owns one as new.
Based on the information I know, this is an iMac G3 computer released before 2000. I may be wrong as I am terrible with history or looking things up, but to be honest, I love the design of the computer and how it is (was) different from any other computer at that time.
Well, the following item is a real piece of history. It is the calculator that saved apple and was used in space by astronauts to calculate critical course correction manoeuvres in 1975. There is a bit more information about it on the plaque below the photo.
And here is the bread and butter of the history of apple - from the very beginning until 2012 with all their products in a timeline. The photo is lower resolution because it was too large for me to upload it here, but if you are interested to see the full resolution of the photo I took (able to zoom in), I uploaded on my Google Drive - Full resolution image
The Apple museum in Prague had a lot of personal items which belonged to Steve Jobs, including the following watch
And a motorcycle - I am not sure if it's his motorcycle or just a copy model of his, but considering that this was an Apple Museum, I would like to believe it belonged to him.
I used to have a dozen more photographs of Steve Jobs personal items which were displayed in the museum, but I do have difficulties locating through my tens of thousands of photographs I have (these were in a specific folder)
Aaaand to end with my favourite item I bought from there, is a coffee cup with Steve Jobs portrait and the lovely message: THINK DIFFERENT - And at the time I am writing this post, I am drinking from it.
This post is an original article I wrote and published ONLY on this platform. All the photographs are originally taken by me.
