Hello friends, as promised I will introduce you today to the path called "Li Vurgacci" located in the municipality of Pioraco, in the province of Macerata in the Marche region in central Italy.
The path has three access points, in any case you will be guided by the signs that are very present, one from inside the town which is what I have undertaken in this case because it is the shortest and at times a strong wind began to blow.
So once you have parked your car or motorbike at the beginning of the town, you will find this route easily.
The second access involves a slightly longer but easily walkable path, I recommend this if you have time as it is the most panoramic and you will enjoy a splendid view from above over the town. This route begins near the "Madonna della Grotta".
The third is located south of the town, along the road to get to the town by car, follow the signs for the paper mill and you will find the third entrance to the path, although I personally recommend those from the town.
So, following the directions, I head to the beginning of the route, I'm very curious because having come to this town several times, I have never done this route.
The path is very practicable, the locals have always kept to this path, it is very well guarded, the gorge naturally carved by the river called “Potenza” is very beautiful.
The route is about 500 meters long and can be covered in a few tens of minutes.
Walking along this beautiful path for the first time you have the feeling of being observed and knowing that there are the faces of the monsters you look around to see where they are.
Arrived at a certain point you see a sign that says "pit of monsters" and here you will find most of them, it is a very very special place, a strange feeling, here the monsters will keep you company ... !!
The local sculptor Antonio Ciccarelli (to whom a beautiful town square is dedicated) has carved the rock of this river gorge creating monsters over the past decades, over time they have become a place of attraction.
Mr. Ciccarelli with the locals has also helped to build small bridges and paths that make the "monster hunt" pleasant by taking a walk here between nature and mystery where you can also take the children if you want.
You can spend a beautiful day in this place that also offers picnic areas in the shade of the forest and in summer you can also cool off with the water of the river.
If you happen to be in these areas, I recommend this nice and unusual adventure and always remember to respect the environment and nature.
All the photos you see were taken by me and the experience I tell is my personal experience.
See you soon my friend
what a really strange place I didn't even know it existed !!
Hello @silviared945 , I admit it is a strange place and not very well known yet but it is my goal to introduce less known places to let people live new experiences😊
