Last night of incredible Roadtrip Deu/Eng

in Worldmappin7 months ago

Hallo liebe Community,

Al

Hello dear community,
So it had arrived, our last evening of the holiday. With one eye laughing and one eye crying, we headed to Vinnie Van Go Gos, a top-rated pizzeria in Savannah. And we were not disappointed, they served up a lot for our money. And I have rarely eaten such a good pizza calzone before.

After dinner, we continued towards the waterfront to enjoy our last sunset in Savannah. Live music could be heard everywhere and the promenade was full of people enjoying their lives. As the sun began to set, the large bridge over the Savannah River was bathed in more beautiful red and orange tones by the minute. The brightly lit Georgia Queen, the large paddle steamer, approached brightly lit from its last excursion of the day.

All the restaurants and pubs along the centuries-old cobblestone street also came to life in the dark and shone brightly. Some of the buildings were illuminated in different colors, which bathed the city in a colorful sea of lights. On our way back to the hotel we walked down the main street again and were reminded of Christmas time with all the fairy lights. Except that it was still 25 degrees Celsius here at 9 p.m.

Then we were back at the hotel and packed up our things. We wanted to go to bed early because we had a lot of exertion ahead of us on the next day with the flight home. In the end, we were overcome by sadness that this beautiful trip was already over.

Best wishes and see you soon, your
Al
