Amigosss!!! Un gusto estar aquí con ustedes, es mi primer post en esta hermosa comunidad, en esta oportunidad les quiero compartir un poco de lo que fue mi experiencia viajando a Valdivia, una ciudad espectacular de Chile, destacada por sus hermosos paisajes, lleno de naturaleza pura.
Un día con unos amigos comentamos lo bonito que se observaba Valdivia en fotos, y que deberíamos de planificar un viaje así sea corto tiempo para conocerlo, al pasar los días nos organizamos y compramos los boletos de avión, al final los que nos pusimos de acuerdo en viajar fuimos 3 amigos y el hijo de 10 años de una de mis amigas.
Salimos del Aeropuerto Internacional Comodoro Arturo Merino Benítez ubicado en Santiago, es el aeropuerto más grande y concurrido de Chile. Yo estaba muy emocionada, ya que después de la pandemia no me había montado de nuevo en un avión, me encanto volver a vivir toda la experiencia, me impresiono lo lleno que estaba el aeropuerto, muchas personas viajando!!
Friends!!! A pleasure to be here with you, this is my first post in this beautiful community, this time I want to share a little of what was my experience traveling to Valdivia, a spectacular city in Chile, noted for its beautiful scenery, full of pure nature.
One day with some friends we commented how beautiful Valdivia looked in photos, and that we should plan a trip even if it is a short time to know it, as the days passed we organized and bought plane tickets, in the end we agreed to travel were 3 friends and the 10 year old son of one of my friends.
We left from Comodoro Arturo Merino Benitez International Airport located in Santiago, the largest and busiest airport in Chile. I was very excited, since after the pandemic I had not been on a plane again, I loved to live again the whole experience, I was impressed by how full the airport was, many people traveling!
El vuelo duro una hora y media aproximadamente, y al llegar a Valdivia pudimos notar de inmediato que la temperatura había bajado notoriamente, llegamos a las 11: 00 am aproximadamente y el clima estaba a 13°, una delicia de clima!! De inmediato buscamos un taxi para que nos llevara a nuestra cabaña que ya habíamos realizado la reservación por internet.
La belleza de los paisajes que vimos cuando íbamos en el taxi a la cabaña, fue realmente increíble, el cielo con azul intenso, libre de contaminación, los arboles con un verde espectacular, ya solamente al estar en Valdivia se siente otro aire, es una pureza inexplicable, el señor que conducía el taxi era muy amable, incluso se ofreció en detenernos en algunos miradores para tomarnos fotos, y así lo hicimos, nos tomamos algunas fotos camino al sitio donde nos íbamos a hospedar.
The flight lasted about an hour and a half, and upon arrival in Valdivia we could immediately notice that the temperature had dropped significantly, we arrived at about 11: 00 am and the weather was at 13 °, a delight of weather! We immediately looked for a cab to take us to our cabin that we had already booked online.
The beauty of the landscapes that we saw when we were going in the cab to the cabin, was really incredible, the sky with intense blue, free of pollution, the trees with a spectacular green, just being in Valdivia you feel another air, it is an inexplicable purity, the man who was driving the cab was very kind, he even offered to stop us in some viewpoints to take pictures, and so we did, we took some pictures on the way to the place where we were going to stay.
Al llegar a la cabaña no termino nuestra impresión, esta vez por lo bien conservada que estaba esta cabaña antigua, la madera estaba perfectamente conservada, y todas las instalaciones de la casita eran con un estilo colonial, retro pero en excelentes condiciones, me transporte en el tiempo, a cuando iba a casa de mi abuelita amada.
Nos recibió una señora súper amable y atenta, quien nos enseñó las áreas de la casita, y nuestra cabaña, tenía una cocinita muy acogedora en donde servían desayuno, y un jardín súper lindo lleno de flores.
Apenas llegamos, ya estábamos emocionados por dejar el equipaje y salir a pasear, por lo que decidimos ir primero a comer y luego recorrer lo que teníamos planificado en nuestro itinerario de viaje, como solo íbamos a estar 2 días, teníamos que correr para poder visitar todos los lugares que queríamos conocer jajaja.
When we arrived at the cabin, our impression did not end, this time because of how well preserved this old cabin was, the wood was perfectly preserved, and all the facilities of the cottage were with a colonial style, retro but in excellent condition, I was transported back in time, to when I was going to my beloved grandmother's house.
We were welcomed by a very kind and attentive lady, who showed us the areas of the cottage, and our cabin, had a very cozy kitchenette where breakfast was served, and a super nice garden full of flowers.
As soon as we arrived, we were already excited to leave the luggage and go for a walk, so we decided to go first to eat and then go through what we had planned in our travel itinerary, as we were only going to be 2 days, we had to run to visit all the places we wanted to know hahaha.
Lo primero que hicimos fue ir a comer en el Mercado Fluvial de Valdivia, ya que literalmente nos quedaba a pasos de la cabaña, nos metimos en un local de comida y pedimos pescado y cervezas, estaba muy rico, muy fresco el pescado.
Luego de ahí fuimos ahí mismo en ese mercado y preguntamos por el tour en catamarán por los ríos de Valdivia, era muy económico el precio 5 dólares por persona el recorrido que duraba 1 hora y media aproximadamente, sin dudarlo y muy emocionados pagamos los tickets para el siguiente tour que salía a las 6:00 pm, nos quedaban un par de horas para hacer otras actividades y conocer un poco la ciudad, compramos recuerditos y también vimos un grupo de los leones marinos, que se pueden observar en el muelle, jugando y haciendo muecas para todos las personas que los observan, estos leones son muy famosos en esta parte de Valdivia.
The first thing we did was to go to eat at the Valdivia River Market, since it was literally steps away from the cabin, we went into a local food and ordered fish and beer, it was very tasty, very fresh fish.
After that we went right there in that market and asked for the catamaran tour by the rivers of Valdivia, it was very economical the price 5 dollars per person the tour lasted about 1 hour and a half, without hesitation and very excited we paid the tickets for the next tour that left at 6: 00 pm, we had a couple of hours left to do other activities and get to know the city a little, we bought souvenirs and we also saw a group of sea lions, which can be seen on the pier, playing and making faces for all the people who observe them, these lions are very famous in this part of Valdivia.
Le preguntamos a unas señoras como hacíamos para llegar a la cervecería Kunstmann y nos indicaron que tomáramos un bus y que nos dejaba justo al frente de este lugar, nos fuimos corriendo a esta cervecería, esta es una de las cerveceras artesanales de mayor relevancia en Chile, y degustamos de una gran variedad de cervezas que ellos fabrican, fue una experiencia muy divertida e interesante, salimos un poco ebrios jajaja.
We asked some ladies how to get to the Kunstmann brewery and they told us to take a bus and that it would leave us right in front of this place, we ran to this brewery, this is one of the most important craft breweries in Chile, and we tasted a variety of beers that they make, it was a very fun and interesting experience, we left a little drunk hahaha.
Ya luego de recorrer un poco el muelle, y regresar de la cervecería estábamos listos para iniciar nuestro paseo en el catamarán, preguntamos si podíamos comprar comida y algo para tomar en el paseo y el capitán nos dijo que sí, pero que teníamos que botar todo luego después del paseo y por supuesto tener mucho cuidado de no dejar caer nada al lago, y así hicimos compramos unas papitas y cervezas para acompañar nuestro paseo. XD
En el catamarán había una guía turística que nos iba diciendo la historia de Valdivia, así como nos mostraba lugares emblemáticos de este lugar tan hermoso.
Este paseo fue espectacular, una experiencia fascinante y hermosa, sin duda vale la pena visitar esta ciudad.
After walking around the pier a bit, and returning from the brewery we were ready to start our ride on the catamaran, we asked if we could buy food and something to drink on the ride and the captain told us yes, but we had to throw everything away after the ride and of course be very careful not to drop anything into the lake, and so we bought some chips and beer to accompany our ride. XD
On the catamaran there was a tour guide who was telling us the history of Valdivia, as well as showing us emblematic places of this beautiful place.
This tour was spectacular, a fascinating and beautiful experience, definitely worth visiting this city.
El resto del día, fuimos a caminar por la ciudad, ya que el clima estaba muy agradable, y en la noche fuimos a un restaurante muy bonito y con una comida muy deliciosa, pedimos hamburguesa con papas fritas, y para degustar un crudo (ya que es muy reconocido este plato en Valvidia) el crudo chileno se sirve como una especie de antipasto para untar con pan, se trata de una carne sin cocción, muy deliciosa, de verdad les recomiendo que algún día se animen a probarlo.
Llegamos en la noche a la cabaña a dormir, estábamos cansados porque habíamos caminado mucho, pero estábamos todos felices, nos fuimos a dormir, para seguir conociendo lugares, ya que mañana es nuestro ultima día el vuelo salía esa tarde a las 4:00 pm.
The rest of the day, we went for a walk around the city, since the weather was very nice, and in the evening we went to a very nice restaurant with a very delicious food, we ordered a hamburger with fries, and to taste a crudo (since this dish is very well known in Valvidia) the Chilean crudo is served as a kind of antipasto to spread with bread, it is a meat without cooking, very delicious, I really recommend you to try it someday.
We arrived at night to the cabin to sleep, we were tired because we had walked a lot, but we were all happy, we went to sleep, to continue knowing places, since tomorrow is our last day, the flight was leaving that afternoon at 5pm.
Al dia siguiente nos levantamos tempranito y fuimos a comprar las entradas para entrar a un museo submarino muy famoso también en este lugar, les cuento un poco de la historia de este submarino: “El submarino O'Brien pertenece a la clase Oberón y fue construido en el año 1971 en Escocia, a solicitud de la Armada de Chile, llegando a la ciudad de Punta Arenas el 10 de agosto de 1976. Tras haber cumplido 25 años de servicio fue dado de baja el 31 de diciembre del año 2001, siendo adquirido por la Municipalidad de Valdivia para ser destinado a su actual uso. Es el segundo de la clase Oberón que permanece a flote en el mundo y es uno de los tres submarinos que existen en Sudamérica en calidad de museo”. Fue demasiado divertido ver el interior de este submarino mientras el guía nos explicaba todo acerca de la tripulación que ahí se mantenía por muchos meses, es increíble la condición física que debieron tener estas personas para poder estar tanto tiempo sumergidos en un submarino, yo dure como 45 minutos y literalmente me faltaba el aire, pero valió la pena aprender de esta linda experiencia.
The next day we got up early and went to buy tickets to enter a very famous submarine museum also in this place, I tell you a little of the history of this submarine: "The submarine O'Brien belongs to the Oberon class and was built in 1971 in Scotland, at the request of the Chilean Navy, arriving in the city of Punta Arenas on August 10, 1976. After 25 years of service, it was decommissioned on December 31, 2001, being acquired by the Municipality of Valdivia to be destined to its current use. It is the second of the Oberon class that remains afloat in the world and is one of the three submarines that exist in South America as a museum". It was too much fun to see the inside of this submarine while the guide explained everything about the crew that stayed there for many months, it is incredible the physical condition that these people must have had to be so long submerged in a submarine, I lasted about 45 minutes and I was literally short of breath, but it was worth it to learn from this beautiful experience.
Antes de regresar a Santiago queríamos conocer un lugar llamado fuerte Niebla de Valdivia, pero lamentablemente por ser domingo el lugar estaba cerrado 😅 pero igual nos tomamos fotos muy hermosas con una vista maravillosa.
Before returning to Santiago we wanted to visit a place called Fort Niebla de Valdivia, but unfortunately because it was Sunday the place was closed, but we still took beautiful pictures with a wonderful view.
