Greetings, Fellow Galactic Hitch-Hikers!
Sharing the visuals of a few landmarks which you can use in case you're ever landing on Earth. Due to technical complications and obstructions, I am currently able to post samples from one of my recently generated archives only. The long-lens observations from across the hill shall remain locked for now and shared at another point in time.
So, this series could probably be useful to those blindly dive-bombing Earth's surface after they crawl out of their crash pods, suits, whatever. It's strange under the forest's canopy. You can lose sight of the giant rocks or you can see them from afar. But not as easily as from above where they jut out and over the treetops.
Look for the face of the helmed Martian dude.
I did mention the Thracian legacy in this region a post or two ago when I was talking about its history and other stuff.
I am not sure if it was Thracians spawning wherever there were monoliths to take advantage of and do sacred stuff around or if it was the monoliths appearing wherever there were Thracians planning to commit to their sacred stuff. It's almost an unanswerable question. Like who was first, the hen or the egg.
Speaking in such a manner might cause the impression that I am taking the ancient tribes lightly and making fun of them being attracted to stones and other things primitive and primeval...but in fact, I am amazed at how civilized they were in other terms. Such as metal craft.
For example, one of the most ancient, and at the same time most exquisitely wrought collection of golden artifacts was found not far from here. But that is another story that I should focus on soon enough.
The monoliths, on the other hand, did impress not only people of old but modern folks as well. They were among the miniature models of famous sights around the country that could be seen in Streltcha's park. Stones representing stones. Small scale hinting at large scale.
And they were large, indeed. And I was glad I found at least some of the mand I saw them from up close. It was enlightening.
Nature truly is an artist.
Peace and Rocks!
