My warmest greetings to all my fellow Hivers. How are you? I wish you all well.
Despite of all challenges and the trials we are going through today especially this pandemic that continues to challenged us. We tried to find ways and opportunities to have fun with our families in a such way to reduce stress. To give ourselves a chance to be comfort and to be entertain and one of them is bonding with our families.
Island hopping is popular in our town because of many small islands nearby our place. This month of ovctomber we have a lot of celebrations like a birthday celebration of my two kids and their cousins and graduations. So my family together with my husband's siblings agreed to have a family bonding through island hopping.
On our way to the roro port area where the island hopping boats departure area located.
The port area in our town is not big and that day Sunday, there were many group of families and friends who were their island hopping too. On the port area there were many boats reserved and docking the area, it happens that our boat was not able to went to the nearest edge of the port that's why we need to passed through other boats using a small wood bridge in order to reach to our reserved boat. It was so scary because the wind was a bit strong and the waves was a bit rough and the wood bridge slightly moving. Thanks to the boatman who helped us to cross the wood bridge and able to reach our boat. It was challenging but enjoying too.
Before our departure, the coastguard check boat's passenger and all the safety gear. All passengers must wear life jackets to secure our safety.
Departure moments. Honestly, I was worried that time because it was a cloudy morning and the wind quite strong, therefore the waves also a bit rough, but anyway we had a life jackets so I believed we were safe then.
We were on our way to our first island stopped over at Olango Island.
On our first island stopped over where everyone were excited and enjoyed. Kids and elders seems like to performed their stunts in diving. Although, it's a bit wavy but they don't mind it. We saw many other island hopping boats also who had their island hopping too. It has so much fun.
Later after we called the July birthday celebrants to sing for them a birthday song.
After singing a birthday song to the celebrants we ate our lunch and enjoying our foods.
An hour after we proceed to our next island destination at Hilutungan Island. Still the winds blows a bit stronger and the waves a bit rough.
We would have liked to stay a bit longer there because we enjoyed by the many colorful fish that could be seen there because it is a fish sanctuary but the boatmen said we had to go home and hurry because there was a storm coming to be seen at the other end. So we hurried back to our island. We felt that the wind and waves get more stronger. I was so worried that the storm was near. Fortunately, we were close to the port when the wind and rain got stronger.
Thanks God we arrived the port area safely.
We had a great bonding together. Though we experienced a challenged journey because of the not so good weather but we enjoyed so much. It was so worth it.
