Hello hello beautiful people of Hive, join me today to the Castle of San Carlos de Borromeo.
This beautiful fortification has a quite curious history, in addition to being one of the emblematic ones of Pampatar, Isla de Margarita, the construction of this castle lasted approximately 20 years, until two years later it was demolished by pirates.
You can get there comfortably by Bus, taking route 4 or 5, both will leave you exactly in front of the castle, on the opposite side we have Plaza Bolívar de Pampatar and the Church. And if you walk a little further you can take a dip in the sea, where there are many restaurants and artisans.
It is currently open to the public, where you can see an incredible view of the Bay of Pampatar, its function was to protect said Bay from ships, since they could be seen from a great distance, it was demolished and rebuilt many times, but it began in 1622, and you You will ask how my story is.
Well, despite not being from Margarita, she worked as a tourist guide and thanks to this I have learned a little about each place. It is a large construction and the sun invades the entire fortification, it has 4 watchtowers where you will take incredible photos and you can also protect yourself from the sun hehehe.
I always like to visit new places, and although I have lost count of the times I have come, it is always pleasant to enjoy this beautiful view, the blue of the sea always surprises me and tourists really enjoy visiting and learning about its history.
Once again I am happy to show you a little of the Island, thank you for joining me, that's it for my post, I send you lots of good vibes💙💙
