Hello!

Today I come to introduce you to a beautiful place in my city that we took the opportunity to visit during the carnival.

A zoo located in the Hatillo, Municipality Baruta, Miranda State of Venezuela, called the Casita del Avestruz. A rustic place, quite rural, with several common species of animals and other somewhat rare ones, or at least I had never seen them or heard their names.

You can have contact with most of the animals, although I must say, that in the zoo they charge a high price to be with certain animals; for example to have direct contact with the cunaguaros they charge around 20$, it seems a little expensive to me and my mom told us that we would look at them from afar 😂.

We started by seeing some very cute and rare squirrels, they are called Petauros del Azúcar, a species from Australia, they had them in a little bag and they were tiny.

Then we saw the capybara, my brother was crazy to share with them. During the tour there were many loose animals walking around the place, we took the opportunity to photograph them all.

You could also feed the animals with carrots, some of them eat worms and other things. In the place they sell little bags of food (2$) so you can feed the animals. My mom was bitten by an ostrich that was hungry 😂.

What we liked most about the visit was the presentation of the reptiles and arachnids, for 45 minutes they were talking about the species they had in the zoo, where they came from, what they ate and all the information about them in a very entertaining way. The guide sometimes tricked the audience with fantastic stories to make us laugh.

He also tricked us on more than one occasion to throw the animals he was showing on us, he put a spider on my mom while I got some kind of giant cockroach, LOL 😵‍💫...

It was a fun experience, a good option to spend a nice time with the family.

Here you have the location of the place and I take the opportunity to leave my review in Worldmappin.

Although I don't support animals being treated for entertainment, I see it as positive that they at least provide information on how to preserve them and especially respect them.

Wow, these animals are very scary, I really like a monkey, even though it's scary, you get a lot of fun ❤️
