Even we in Italy have a part of the beach very similar to the one in the photos.
Blue-green water and very white sand; the problem is the sand is actually limestone dumped by a chemical industry that produces sodium bicarbonate!

I saw that one in a documentary. It became a tourist spot that's peculiar because it was next to a factory. I'm glad the white sand beaches here are natural. Well, except those in Manila Bay that are dumped with limestone for aesthetic purposes.
