Hello hivers! 👋 Wazzup? It's Marinel, (minelwanders20) back with another story to be told. 🤗 Another travel, another blog. I'll be sharing with you today our rest day travel with one of the amazing place in coastal town in Cebu - Hermit's Cove Aloguinsan. This trip was planned between families. Nested along Aloguinsan coastline, Hermit's Cove is a slice of paradise offering tranquility and natural beauty. My recent escapade here was a perfect blend of relaxation and adventure together with my family.
Getting to Aloguinsan from Cebu City, you must take a Bus from South Bus Cebu Terminal. The trip is just straightforward. From the Terminal, hop on a bus bound to Aloguinsan or Toledo, which takes around 2-3 hours. If you prefer driving, take the Naga-Uling Road and follow the signs leading to Aloguinsan for a scenic view of the coastal. Upon reaching the town, local tricycle or single motorcycles are readily available to take you to Hermits Cove Aloguinsan. This peaceful town offers more than just breathtaking views.
Upon arrival on the place, we immediately go for a swim since the water is so calm. Feels like the water is calling us. After a couple of minutes, I think it took 30 minutes to be exact that we decided to rest and prepare for our lunch since we felt a little bit hungry at this time. Some boys are grilling and the girls is preparing for other dishes. After all the preparations, we immediately eat our food. Our lunch was filled with talking, teasing and laughter. We just enjoy every moment in this trip.
After we had our lunch, we just sat from a small tree to take a rest and just feel the warmth air soothing our body. It is so refreshing and relaxing. We enjoyed looking at the view in front of us. We enjoyed looking our families enjoying themselves in the beach. This trip is worth remembering and worth having. It really hits different when your with your family having the time together.
A couple of minutes when the sun is not that hot anymore, I decided to change another outfit for a photo opportunity of the place. I'm just roaming around looking for a perfect spot for a picture taking. And tadahhhh, I found this area which I think is a best spot for an instagrammable vibe. I climb to this part since it is a high area and called my cousin to take me a photo. It is just so unique for me.
Another pose for this spot. 😍 I'm just loving my shots here. But I get a little scared of this part since the rocks is so big. I overthink that maybe there's a snake living on the hole of the rocks. 😅 Just like I saw from the movies. So I just go down immediately after my cousin took the picture.
So we go back to the cottage and rest for awhile. I just sat down at the sand feeling the very fined white sand. And my cousin holding a phone told me that I should take a pose 'cause she will be taking a picture of me that I'm sitting on it. I didn't think that it would result like this cause I'm just joking on taking a pose, but after she took the picture she showed it to me and I just loved it.
After all the picture-taking, we enjoyed ourselves swimming and feeling the cold and calm waves of the ocean. We swam our hearts out until we felt tired, letting the tranquil waters wash away all worries. The highlight was watching the sunset, painting the sky with hues of orange and pink. Leaving Hermit’s Cove was bittersweet—its beauty and serenity left a lasting impression.
This peaceful town offers more than just breathtaking views. It's strong emphasis on sustainable tourism ensures that every visitor's experience supports the community while preserving the natural environment. Whether you're exploring its clear waters, mingling with locals, or simply soaking in the view, Aloguinsan guarantees a memorable escape - a hidden gem waiting to be discovered.
