My last week was spent mostly at the sea, admiring the infinite blue. I think I could do this endless times without getting over it. ππ
Actually, I am still around our Black Sea here in Romania and I really hope to go again on the beach at least one more time before heading back home.
I was in the mood to share something with you today and I thought that Beach and Black Sea would be nice to blog about. In the end, this is my reality for now so this topic is just perfect! ππ
The Romanian coastline has a few beaches and city resorts.
I made a list of them, here it is.

The most popular and the biggest is Mamaia, located in Constanta. The resort is always full of tourists, year after year.
And you could see that because there are hundreds of big buildings worked on. Constructions are definitely on going.
Constanta is the main port of the Romanian state, also one of the biggest cities.

My photos are taken in Mamaia Sat.
This resort called Mamaia Sat its an area between Mamaia and Navodari.
Here are dozens of small arranged beaches, with everything you could possibly need: sun beds, umbrellas, bars, terraces, drinks foods, toilets, sea sports, etc.
I used to say our Romanian seaside isnt beautiful and now I'm quite "ashamed" of having these thoughts.
Well, YES, here are some things not so pleasant but after all, it's our seeside and it's not that bad. Every place has a few pros and cons right? I can let it go, I mean the cons for our coastline.
The beaches are quite clean (at least here in Mamaia Sat), but maybe thats because years ago this was a more expensive resort. It still gives you that vibe compared with other Romanian resorts.
Anyways, our friends live in Constanta and we've come to see them every year in the last four years. And I can't complain about the beaches here. There's nothing wrong with this place.
And actually, I kind of enjoy it. Somehow its comforting and gives you a different sort of relaxation when you're staying in your country (even though I prefer Greece over our Romanian seaside).
So yeah, the beaches are fine, the water is clean, is clear most of the times. The entrance in the sea isnt too steep. I'd say its a good option for a vacation with kids.
Also, there are lifeguards on duty.
I can lay on a sunbed and stay under umbrella for hours. Just give me a book and a phone! Well, some water and a coffee too. They goes well together! Acutally, you know what? A lemonade would be great or a cocktail. Make it non alchoholic please! πππ
This is my kind of a perfect day at the sea.
Just laying there like a lazy potato. π and ofc, feel the breeze, the air, the smell of the sea. Feel the sand, go for a walk on the beach, pick up seashells. But not too much sun. I dont usually stay to get a tan.

About the beaches, I would say they're ok. There's mostly sand everywhere. You definitely don't need beach shoes.
The water has a more darkish blue color, there arent waves or holes as you get into the water.
The photos are taken once again in Mamaia Sat, on Yucatan beach.
Here a sunbed costs 100 RON, meaning 22$ from 1-4 row.
And 15$ starting the fourth raw.
There are drinks available and a toilet.

Having fun at the beach with kids
Though, when you're having kids, forget about that type of enjoyment I mentioned above. No more laying on the sunbed quietly!
When you go with kids on the beach, especially with a 4.5 year old, is more about building sand castles, bath taking, seashells picking, playing in the sand and a constant attention directed to the child's safety.
Bye bye napping on the sunbed. πππ

Iβm adding Mamaia Sat to my list! What a beautiful place!! The beach seems to be very clean as you mentioned and itβs great that is mostly sand, so you can easily walk. Itβs great for the children because they can play and have a great time there with sand castles making.
I had no idea that Romania had beaches like this!

The beach is very amazing, I am very interested in the atmosphere of the beach, we can have fun on the beach with children and family. Of course, surely you are there quite happy like her.

I must admit that I miss Mamaia especially the beaches of Navodari, this year it seems that I jumped over, it made me think about the very exaggerated prices that are practiced there.
Well, you're right on that. I can't blame you.
Maybe next year you'll come, who knows. In case Turkey, Greece, Albania or Croatia wont step forward ππ

I can't say anything about Turkey because I haven't experienced the resorts there yet, but you never know.
Yeah, but you already thought that a vacation in Turkey would be possible in the next years to come.

I miss it too already, there's only one day left at the beach... and then I will miss it for this year as probably I wont see it again until next year.

The Black Sea doesn't look as black as it says... π Jokes aside if you ask me, the Romanian coast looks amazing! Like your photos, especially the one with a full plate of seashells and the one with the Sandcastle!
