The Tempting Public White Beach of Sta. Fe, Bantayan Island, Cebu

in Worldmappin2 years ago

Hello and howdy lovely people on Hive.🤗 Hope you are all doing well on this wonderful day!

Who says a public beach is boring and not charming at all? Well, not at Bantayan Island!

Famous for its fine white beaches, taking a dose of our vitamin sea was surely part of our itinerary on our wonderful trip to the stunning Bantayan Island.

After getting ourselves and our baon (food or any provisions taken to a journey in English) ready, the family and I did not waste any more time but headed straight to Sta. Fe to realize our beach plan on this day.

And this is what I'm going to share in today's blog.

The Tempting Public Beach of Sta. Fe

It may not be my first time visiting the beach on Bantayan Island, but I found everything strange once again, therefore, getting to our destination on our motorbike was a real adventure!

Thinking of spending less but enjoying more and as suggested by the good friend who lived on the island, we made our way to the Public Beach of Sta. Fe. to take a refreshing dip into the sea giving in to the children's wish.

Well, actually for me, I'd rather just sit quietly at the beach, breathe the salty air, and walk barefoot feeling the fine and soft sand massaging my tired feet. My own way of relieving myself from stress!

It was about 11:00 a.m. that we arrived at the Public Beach in Sta. Fe and I was just stunned at the sparkling clear blue sea and the long white shoreline that was right in front of my eyes! Wowww!

With no entrance fee, the path to the beach was wide open to all beach-goers who wish to take some time to relax and get away from the busy days at work and at home.

Looking around, I saw this tarpaulin posted at the entrance of the public beach displaying some rules and the proper behavior and conduct to observe when at the beach.

You can also feel safe there because a police officer is visible in the area ready to assist or attend to anyone's safety needs.

Even though it's a public beach, it seemed to me it is well-managed by the municipal government. The shore is very clean which shows it's well-taken care of!

Finding our own shelter from the blistering sun, I found a number of local and international tourists at their happiest moments spending time with friends and family at the beach.

On this luminous summer day, some foreigners were enjoying bathing themselves under the bright rays of the sun while some teens played frisbee. There were also some guys who tried catching the waves on their surfing boards while many others, adults and children alike, were feeling the comfort of the cool sea breeze and the calm waves.

The tempting sea with its fine white sand was calling us that the children got so excited to plunge themselves into the seawater immediately.

What's better here was that you can just freely take a walk along this long white shoreline passing by these private beaches without anyone telling you to just stay in the public area!

Without any cottage at all but the shade of a few coconut trees, beach-goers can just take their picnic blankets or mats to sit on and lay their food.

If you wish to feel the breeze and enjoy the sea, you can take an umbrella or parasol with you to protect yourself from the harsh rays of the sun!

Just beside the public area were other private beaches swarmed with local and international tourists, especially during the holiday season.

The Kota Beach is one of the most popular one with ₱50.00 entrance fee for walk-in and day beachgoers according to one local I asked.

These beaches come alive at night, especially during the Holy Week or some special days.

Walking to the other side of the beach for a quick tour, I found groups of local and foreign tourists crowding at the beachfront.

You won't go hungry even if you did not bring your own baon when you are at the beach because there's a barbecue station in this area.

There's also a spot for Sta. Fe Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO) lifeguard on duty.

As it was already noon and the food was ready, we had our festive lunch at the beach with the good friend's family.

Any kind of food is always delicious when you're at the beach, right? Because of the relaxing atmosphere at this place, your appetite also cooperates!lol

But whatever food you eat and wherever you go, it's always the best moment especially when you're with the people you love!💞

If you wish to enjoy the pristine white beaches and save a little bit, try to visit the Sta. Fe Public Beach.

How to get there?

When you reach Bantayan Island, you may rent a motorcycle and ask some locals for directions or just simply navigate Waze or Google Map. It only takes about 5-6 minutes from the Sta. Fe port.

And this is all for today's blog dear Hivers. Thank you for reaching this far and taking your precious time to read this post! See you again in my next blogs. Until then....
