Hiding mountains or traveling along a river
"Any trip is a holiday that will forever remain in your memory" — someone
It's the end of the week again and again we're going on a little trip. This journey is dedicated to the river. We will move along the rivers of our region.
We spent the first evening opposite the monastery watching how the locals were relaxing.
This place has changed a lot. I remember that a river tram used to operate here, transporting residents to the other side. Now a huge bridge rises to the right of the monastery. A small cozy cafe appeared on the site of the pier. The owners designed the shore in the form of an amphitheater. Visitors watch the sunset while drinking soft drinks. We took a bottle of sparkling wine and joined the vacationers
We stopped for the night in a small hotel on the shore to the right of the monastery.
The journey resumed the next morning. We moved to a small river called Klyazma.

We walked around the small ancient city. After economic growth in the 16th century and the turbulent events of the 17th century, this city fell into hibernation. It was spared major wars and disasters. Scientific and technological progress had minimal impact on the appearance of the city. Everything here looks like it did 300 years ago. The city has retained its original face.
You can see here ancient stone houses from the 16th century, where merchant families lived. You can visit ancient temples that have retained their original appearance and original frescoes.
Guests of the city should pay attention to the unusual architecture of the facades. This kind of decor is not found anywhere else.
The city received a second wind after an increase in the flow of tourists. The authorities began to invest money in restoring architectural masterpieces.
If you cross the river on a floating bridge, you can observe the ancient panorama from the other bank and understand what the medieval city looked like. Changes are minimal. The facades of wooden houses have changed slightly. They became brighter because before there were no bright dyes.
The city has a strange name. Translated into English it sounds like hiding in the mountains. Indeed, the city is located at the foot of a massive earthen hill.
This hill is now used as a ski slope.

Excellent photographic descriptively written visit to this part of Russia, massive country with much to offer in architecture and history. Brilliant lighting in some photography with gold permeating through.
