Sightseeing in Kyoto
At the end of last year, I returned to Japan for the first time in six months. To be honest, until I returned home, I felt that the airfare was quite expensive and that I would have to abandon the trip this time, but I decided to return home.
When I returned to Japan, I was still enjoying myself and once again felt glad that I had decided to return home after all.
Since I had such a short time to return to Japan, I cut out all the time with friends and spent it with my family. I also went sightseeing in Kyoto with my mom for the first time in a while.
It takes about 45 minutes by train from Osaka, my hometown, to Kyoto. I took the Keihan train, which connects Osaka and Kyoto, to Sanjo Station. My main purpose was to go to my favorite eel restaurant, which I visit every time I come to Kyoto, but since we had come all the way to Kyoto, we decided to do a little sightseeing.
When I arrived in Kyoto, I felt that tourists were returning, albeit a little bit at a time. The corona restrictions on entry into Japan have been eased a bit, and it is now possible to enter Japan without a quarantine period. Therefore, I felt that the number of tourists from overseas was increasing. I felt that it would be good if Japan's economy would also revive little by little.
After arriving at Sanjo Station on the Keihan train, we walked toward Yasaka Shrine. Just outside Sanjo Station is the Minami-za Theater, where you can watch geisha and maiko perform. I hope to come back someday.

Kabuki can of course be seen at the Minami-za Theater. Recently, simultaneous English translation can be seen at the seats, and I would like to come here with my friends someday.
I have been to Yasaka Shrine many times, and every time I come, I see the brightly colored vermilion torii gate. Passing through the torii gate, you enter the shrine. Upon entering the shrine, you will see a water spot where you are supposed to wash your hands and rinse your mouth. This is the tradition of misogi in Shinto (Japanese religion), and you will enter the shrine after doing so.
When my mother and I visited Yasaka Shrine, the Shinto priests were busily cleaning the grounds and making various preparations for the year-end festivities. I thought it was very Japanese. I wondered how I should explain omikuji.

After passing through Yasaka Shrine, we next headed for Kiyomizu Temple. It was the same course as the school excursion I took when I was in junior high school, and I strolled around Kyoto talking with my mom about how nostalgic it was. It was a good memory for me.

What doyou mean that you'd be unable to read the post itself? !PGM !CTP
I mean that I sometimes have only a limited time on Hive which I would use to read and reply to comments without actually reading the post itself. 🤔 In those cases, only when the comment looks so interesting that I still read the post. 😅 !PGM !CTP
ah ok, so I'm not the only one doing this? !LOL Only I think I'll be doing this more frequently... !CTP

It's the same to me. I was doubting to go to Belgium again now my grandfather has died (rather considering not to take the children actually) because of the high airfare, but once I'm "home" I feel it was well worth going actually !BBH !CTP
