Yeah, the area is underrated because it is almost 80 km north from the Beijing downtown without better transportation, and renting cars can be troublesome if you have no tour guide that can increase your travel costs but in the nearer tourist spots need no such costs. So, people are not so curious in this area, especially foreigners. Also, this place is in the northern district, which is not so popular or well connected with the main Beijing City area.
