SMOOTH CAFE REVIEW
True Friends + Good Food + Great Coffee + Perfect Ambience = Amazing Stay in Moalboal 2021
Last March of this year I went to Moalboal with my friends. Every trip with them, we always look forward for breakfast. When we were in our room my bff asked where we would go to for our breakfast. The resort has breakfast too however we don’t like the coffee they are serving.
I googled some of the best recommended cafes in town and I found SMOOTH CAFE . I read the reviews of course if they are a good cafe. My bestfriends and I always look forward for breakfast food and a good cup of hot coffee. We stayed in Cabana Resort in Moalboal which we booked for 1 night since our plan is just an overnight.
The following day we headed to SMOOTH CAFE . We went there around 7:00 am and when we arrived, the coffee aroma makes me feel alive again. I love the smell of coffee as it makes me feel today is another day to live and love. I ordered my favorite Hot Caramel machiatto and a Bacon Silog (Bacon , Egg and Rice). While waiting for the food we took pictures in the cafe since it is really nice also I posed for the gram. After taking photos, my coffee arrived and it smells good.
I super love their caramel machiatto it really taste good and of course it's very affordable. The place is so cozy and warm. The interior colors are vibrant and welcoming. The staffs are friendly and very welcoming, they teach us how to do the art of the coffee however it is too difficult on my end ( lol).
I want to learn on how to do the art of making coffee because soon I want to have my own coffee shop. ( fingers crossed) After eating we decided to go swimming to my surprise my boyfriend and his friend arrived in the coffee shop. I am so happy seeing my boyfriend I felt “kilig” for a moment. We let them join our breakfast. We stayed in the coffee shop until 10:30 am.
After our breakfast and our coffee we rushed to the beach for sun bathing. The boys would like to have an island hopping so we went for it even though I did it many times in Moalboal. Some of my friends didn’t experience it so I said yes. The front desk reminds us for our check out but we extended for another night instead.
Since we decided to extend another night we made the most of our stay in Moalboal. After our island hopping, my friends were too tired and they went to our room to sleep. I am not sleepy so I told my boyfie that I would like to go to Smooth Cafe for an Iced Coffee this time. I too loved the ambience in Smooth Cafe it feels refreshing and relaxing.
I ordered a sliced of Red Velvet and Iced coffee while boyfie ordered beer. It was around 5:30 pm that time. I enjoyed my cup of coffee and my cake. Around 7: 00 pm my friends texted me where to eat for dinner so I replied here in Smooth they have variety of food. They have Humba (braised pork), pizza, burger and a lot more. So my friends are tired of looking for a good place to eat since a lot of restaurants closed during the pandemic so they settle with Smooth Cafe. I ordered pizza since I am not that hungry , I shared it with my boyfriend since it is too big for me. I didn’t eat rice since I am still full with my Iced Coffee and Red Velvet sliced.
After our dinner we bought some beers and snacks. We spent our last night in the balcony sipping our beer, facing the very dark view of the sea and plenty of mosquitos good thing I brought the Off Lotion with me. [Travel Tip always bring off lotion and sunblock lotion. ] My friends and I talked a lot about life in general , how they managed the pandemic, their jobs and anything in between. When we were tipsy enough we went back to our rooms and end the night. The following day our last day in the beautiful paradise we woke up early and grabbed some breakfast in the cafe before hitting back to the city. I ordered same thing: Bacon, Egg and Rice and Caramel Macchiato. I cannot imagine leaving the cafe and I don’t know when I will be back. I enjoyed sipping my coffee while thinking when is our next visit here. When I come back, I hope they will still here. A lot of things come to my mind at the moment . I really hope this pandemic is over so that we can comfortably go out and eat out with our family and friends. I would love to go back to Smooth Cafe soon.
