Hello everyone, how are you today?
If you haven't gone yet, I'll take you to a place. It is a famous mountain with many famous temples in An Giang. This mountain is called Sam mountain. On this mountain, there are many sacred pagodas such as Tay An Co Tu Pagoda, Chua Su Temple, Hang Pagoda, etc. Today, come with me to 2 temples here, that is Tay An Co Tu pagoda and Chua Su Temple.
Tay An Co Tu pagoda
Tay An Co Tu pagoda is a temple designed in the Indian style, with the main color being yellow. As soon as you enter the temple, you will encounter 2 summoned beasts, which are 2 black and white elephants. On both sides, there are 2 paths to visit the temple. Inside the temple, there are many Buddha statues in the Northern Tong style. For spiritual reasons, I cannot take pictures of the Buddha statues. When I came here to travel, it was on the 1st day of the lunar calendar, so a lot of people came here to visit the temple and burn incense. At the back of the temple is the tower, where the ashes of the dead are buried. On the day of the festival, the monks will pray for the liberation of the spirits. On the top of the tower are carved many sacred animals such as dragons, phoenixes, ... they look very majestic and ancient.
Chua Su Temple
Ba Chua Su Temple is a sacred place, where people praise it for getting whatever they want. Entering the gate, you will see 2 verses written on both sides, and above is a board with the name of the temple. From a distance, the temple is very large, divided into many areas. The roof is covered with green tile that is very typical here. The campus is planted with many shady trees. Many tourists come here to pray for peace and blessings for a more successful new year. And many young people come here to take pictures because this place is very beautiful with Chinese architectural style. Unfortunately, I came here on the full moon day so I couldn't take many pictures for you to see because of the spiritual element.
After going to the 2 temples above, I visited a few more beautiful places here. I will share them with you in the next posts.
