Cuando pensamos en Venezuela, sólo creemos que contamos con playas hermosas y mujeres bellas (esto lo confirma las 7 coronas que llevamos en el miss universo), pero también resaltan sus paisajes andinos y climas cálidos, estos mismos, son un atractivo turístico que no debes dejar de visitar si vienes a mi país.
Today I want to tell you about Merida, a state which I have had the opportunity to visit several times, as it is an ideal place to rest and connect with nature. The last visit we made as a family to this place was at the beginning of this year, staying in the town of Apartaderos, which is located 65 km before the state capital.
Hoy les quiero contar sobre Mérida, un estado al cual he tenido la oportunidad de visitar varias veces, ya que es un lugar ideal para descansar y conectarse con la naturaleza. La última visita que hicimos como familia a este lugar, fue a comienzos de este año alojándonos en la localidad de Apartaderos, ésta se ubica 65 km antes de la capital del estado.
This, without a doubt, is my perfect place, its usual temperature is 15°C during the day and at night it can range from 7°C to 9°C, its typical food and its delicious hot chocolates make me always want to come back.
Este sin duda, es mi lugar perfecto, su temperatura habitual es de 15°C en el día y en las noches puede oscilar en 7°C a 9 °C, su comida típica y sus deliciosos chocolates calientes hacen que siempre quiera volver.
Among the places you can visit is the Mucubaji Lagoon that belongs to the Sierra Nevada National Park. The photos I share with you of this place speak for themselves.

Within this national park there are many activities that can be done with the family. Trout fishing in its pools is something unforgettable for children. If you are passionate about adventure, you will find guided routes to nearby lagoons and places to camp, and if you dare more, you can go horseback riding and thus go deeper into the fauna.
Dentro de este parque nacional hay muchas actividades que se pueden realizar en familia. Practicar la pesca de trucha en sus pozos es algo inolvidable para los niños. Another attraction is the astronomical observatory, this can be seen from the moment you arrive at the town of Apartaderos, as it is located on top of a mountain. It is the largest observatory in Venezuela, it has a museum that is operational until late at night to observe constellations through its telescope (weather permitting), this place is more than 3000 meters above sea level, and its temperature at night can reach 2 ° C.
Otro de los atractivos es el observatorio astronómico, éste se observa desde que llegas a la localidad de Apartaderos, ya que se encuentra en la cima de una montaña. Es el observatorio más grande de Venezuela, cuenta con un museo que está operativo hasta altas horas de la noche para poder observar constelaciones a través de su telescopio (si el clima lo permite), este lugar está a más de 3000 metros sobre el nivel del mar, y su temperatura en las noches puede llegar a 2°C.
When you follow the route to the city of Merida, you can see all along the road the Chama River, which is the main river of the city because of its water flow. On several occasions you can access the river to enjoy its beauty and its relaxing sound; it is worth mentioning that the water temperature is quite low, which makes it almost impossible to take a bath there.
Cuando sigues la ruta hacia la ciudad de Mérida, podrás ver por toda la carretera el río Chama, es el principal río de la ciudad por su caudal de agua. En varias oportunidades puedes acceder al río para disfrutar de su belleza y su sonido tan relajante; cabe destacar que la temperatura del agua es bastante baja, lo que hace casi imposible tomar un baño allí.
Mérida also has a cable car system (known as Mukumbarí) and it is the highest and longest cable car in the world. It is an impressive architectural work, this time we could not visit it because it was not operational, hopefully soon we will be able to enjoy it again.
Mérida también cuenta con un sistema teleférico (conocido como Mukumbarí) y es el teleférico más alto y largo del mundo. Es una obra arquitectónica impresionante, en esta oportunidad no pudimos visitarlo ya que no se encontraba operativo, esperemos pronto volver a disfrutar de él.
