When planning to go on a vacation, what factor do you consider in choosing your destination? Do you prefer going to an extreme adventure or a relaxing type of vacation is your bet? Well for me, nothing beats a calm and relaxing getaway. Do you have a destination in mind where you can fully experience a relaxing and stress-free vacation? Let me give a suggestion.
Basdaku White Beach is located on the southeast coast of Moalboal, Cebu, Philippines. It is the most popular beach in Moalboal according to the locals. With its crystal clear water, white sand, and affordable entrance fee of 10-20 pesos you can enjoy a relaxing vacation. When we were traveling, it took us 3 hours from Cebu City before we could arrive in Basdaku but guess what? It was all worth it. A gorgeous bounty beach. Nice for a swim and to work on your tan. There are plenty of restaurants along the seafront and of course, people selling drinks and souvenirs.
While you can be able to lay on the sand, work on your tan, and relax, you can also do a lot of activities in the area. If you are game for a little adventure, don’t forget to bring snorkeling equipment so you can enjoy the beautiful corals hidden under the calm waves and various types of fish. Not only that, but you can also do island hopping since there are few neighboring small islands and available engine boats. Prices for these activities are very affordable rages from 200-500 pesos per head.
You can take Instagramable pictures of the beautiful scenery in Basdaku with your family, friends, and loved ones. And by the way, there are a lot of dogs in the area but you don’t have to worry because most dogs are attended by their owner and few stray dogs are kind and don’t bark at the tourists. One thing that is also important when you plan to go there is to bring your own trash bag. There are no trash bins scattered around the area so tourist must be responsible for managing their own trash. Despite the few trash bins in the area, the place was clean.
After a day of enjoying different activities under the sun, it’s also amazing to witness the beautiful sunset. The view was breathtaking. The Philippines is very gifted with beautiful beaches and Basdaku is one of them. This hidden gem in Cebu is worth visiting. Don’t forget to bring your sunscreen and cute bikinis ladies to enjoy such a beautiful vacation.
