😉📸Every now and then I like to break the routine. Today, for example, I'm sitting in a park writing this post, which I still have no idea in which community it will be published.

Look at me here... This is a park I found near the Plaza de la Revolución in Vedado, Havana. Cuba.

And that's the spot I chose to sit.
It feels good here. There is a refreshing breeze and a few rays of sunshine at times. I watch people pass by, think and write. There are only two or three benches occupied by some people who like me must be taking a break.
😂
I just laughed because a woman passed by on the phone and said this: Tell me my love, I?...
Pardon the word, but she said in Spanish "jodida pero contenta" (fucked but happy).
That's how it is here, you hear a lot of things, birds singing, cars passing by, an occasional horn honking in the distance, it seems like they shouldn't be honking in this area, and people passing by on the pavement talking about everything human and divine.
By the way, there is a song by Concha Buika that goes like this, jodida pero contenta.
This is not my case, of course, I am happy. How can I not be when I'm taking a break in a park and I'm participating in a Bicycle Festival as a volunteer, taking some photos.
It's fun and I meet some people like Larry "aka" Lorenzo. He is from Maryland, and we have been chatting. I've been practising my English a bit.

If it's a really cool bike, it folds up like a piece of paper. He brought it with him to get around here in Havana. As you can see Lorenzo is a big cycling enthusiast. I don't know why I didn't go with him to Old Havana, if the activity I wanted to photograph was cancelled? He told me he was going to the Museo Bellas Artes and the Hotel Raquel to see some murals. I couldn't tell him if that hotel was open or closed, but in his travel guide it said it was permanently closed.
I hope to meet him in a few hours, because I think he will be going to the scheduled activity at the Bosque de La Habana. There I will find out how his trip went.

I was talking about parks, right? You know I ramble a bit all the time.
Our conversation took place in this park dedicated to the Asturian people.
It is located in the municipality of Cerro and is also known as Parque de La Pera. It has lots of trees, beautifully painted and preserved benches, and even a children's play area with slides and swings. I didn't want to be giving the note hahaha.... Because I'm quite old now and I don't think I'm allowed to use those things.

It really cheers me up when I see beautiful things. It not only cheers me up, it inspires me. Maybe that's why I ended up in a park today writing this post.

A very nice thing happened to me when I approached the park's inscription. A pigeon perched there to look at me. It was so close. It was not afraid of me. Was it an angel? I say there is always one by my side.

In honour of the Asturian people and on the occasion of the visit to the Republic of Cuba of Mr. Juan Luis Rodríguez - Vigil Rubio, President of the Principality of Asturias, this place is called Plaza Principado de Asturias.
And that happened in 1991 🙂 If I am seeing the photo correctly, because I am in a park and I am not very good at writing a post with my mobile phone. 😂

By the way, the Bicycle Festival takes place in Estudio 50, that building you see there and which I'm sure I'll tell you about in a future post. Zoom in to see the paintings on the walls. There are many and very interesting ones.

I really like this photo that I took yesterday with my mobile phone for my ride that I uploaded to Strava. It's from inside Estudio 50.
👇🏻

😁 two more pictures and that's it...

Yesterday I also met @dahpilot at the opening of the Festival. We talked a bit and then I lost track of him.
Well... Yes, I was talking about parks. We are still in the "Parque de la Pera". In English it's Pear Park. 😀

A ceiba, a mythical tree that is rarely missing in our parks. Palms, which are very beautiful and slender. Warm sunshine to warm the bones after a cold morning... Blue sky. A wonder, really this place and my mood too. There was a seller of chillies and other vegetables. I have my bananas in my backpack, bread, peanuts and a granola with chocolate that my friend Amanda Flores gave me.

I think it's time for me to head over to Studio 50. They have a bar there with this cool sign and I'm really in the mood for a Belgian beer. I tried it yesterday. It tastes like lemon. I wonder if @godfish has tried it.
I'll keep telling you about this adventure...but I don't want to keep making you dizzy today. ☺️

Haha, what a ride through Havana's parks! 🌳😂 I love how you went from deep thoughts to laughing at "jodida pero contenta" – that’s life in a nutshell! And hey, who says you're too old for swings? Give ‘em a go! 🚲🍺
All right, I'll do it. One of these days you'll see me writing about the feeling of swinging in a park that is not designed for people over 40 years old. Hahaha...
🍻 Cheers!
A quiet day from what I've seen. I liked that photograph you mentioned with the bicycles and graffiti in the background. You say that you are accompanied by an angel, I am sure that we are all accompanied by an angel. Enjoy yours, it protects you. You know mine has a strange shape.
A big hug @nanixxx.
Today I went to the enchanted forest. I'm going back to the house now. It has really been a quiet but long day.
A big, big hug.
Well, get some rest, and if you want to share something about your stay in the enchanted forest, I'm sure there will be many of us who will enjoy your photographs and text. I'm going to sleep now. 😴
👋
See you tomorrow!!
Buenos dias @nanixxx. Sin duda he soñado bonito. Espero que sigas disfrutando del festival de la bicicleta. Aquí sigue la lluvia 😭🤣
😉👌🏻 Siempre que llueve escampa. Deseo que salga el sol para ti.
Gracias!!!🫂😃
So many things! A post with the phone? I can't even have hive on my phone, because it's old... I can't install anything anymore hahaha but I love my phone!
Bicycle festival!!! Surely we'll see more of that and those murals... more of that... the pigeon is a good omen!!!
The ceibo is the national flower of Argentina.... hope I don't forget anything!!!!
Better not have Hive on your phone hahaha...lots of distractions here.
Oh yeah, a good omen of what... 🤔😄
Well something not good happened to me. On my way back home I got a flat tire. 🤣 Luckily I'm a cautious woman and I'm prepared for such eventualities with spare tubes.
I can't put anything on the phone but really even if I could I wouldn't do it, I'm more comfortable with the computer and I prefer the phone not to have any of that... well I don't know if it bodes well for me....jajajaja
Very good that you are cautious!!!!!
I guess I have :) it would be one of the industrial ones though, not particularly remarkable :)
Well, I tagged you because this is as close to a beer post as I was going to get. Hahaha... I know you drink quality beers.
😉
Heh, we commonly drink and bike, many breweries aim on cyclists :))
And soft beers with just 2-2.5% alcohol content are commonly called cyklopiva - beers for cyclists.
I also like parks. This is a time of year when we have the best weather to just sit on a bench, in the shade of a tree, watching people go by, carrying their lives full of so many earthly problems.
Thank you for inviting us on your walk. 🌻
If you take life easy.... And you have time for that. Like me taking an indefinite holiday. Hahaha...
Thanks for stopping by @leopard0.

Muchas gracias amigo, @jlinaresp. Siempre es muy halagador recibir su feedback. 🤗
In warmer weather I love doing this. Just run off somewhere and sit, watch the surroundings as different people pass through, or perhaps little events are unfolding in the same space: dancers, skateboarders, the odd tourist or something. I used to write my posts a lot from my phone while I was out sitting somewhere, using it as a way to just quickly capture some general observations and thoughts.
I think it's something I like to do. I haven't done it to write a post for Hive before.... I have written during a bus ride, but not in a park... but I do like to do that when I make notes to write poetry later.
I thought maybe you did, because of the way you describe things.
Greetings, @namiks!
No. The pigeon wasn’t an angel. 😇😝
😂 You don't like pigeons very much hahaha...

Our wonderful Havana; a splendid landscape that always makes Cuba proud. Ready for tourist, historical and social visits; it dresses up to show the heritage and the mix of cultures and traditions.
😀 I love it when I find little corners in Havana, beautiful and well cared for.
Thank you for visiting me. 🤗
What a delightful escape from routine! Your post brought a smile to my face as I virtually strolled through the park with you. The blend of nature, local vibes, and your encounters sound like the perfect recipe for a refreshing day. Keep enjoying those moments and capturing the beauty around you! 😊🌳🚴♂️
Yes, these beers are ideal for cyclists because they have almost no alcohol. It tasted like lemonade to me, hahaha....
It was a nice day and I'm sure I'll get to Hive with more photos of the activities I took part in afterwards.
Thank you, and have a nice day 🙂😉.

😀🙏🏻 thank you and good morning 🌅🌄
Well that was interesting, it is like your typing fingers and your brain were working independently from each other LOL. A bit of this, a bit of that , a happy chappy with a weird bike and beer thrown in for good measure!
and I think everyone should be "jodida pero contenta" on a regular basis LOL
😄 You mean, rambling at its best hahaha.... Well, it was fun. Then we went to the enchanted forest and I met Lorenzo.
I don't think his cycle is made for off road!! lol
