The dessert table didn't work because you didn't go to eat cake at the Castle. Or so I thought I understood, that there was a place there for tasty cakes.
A table in the room seems to me suitable for wandering... breakfast there without having to go to the dining room. 😅

Preserving a castle must not be easy at all, and this one looks in all its splendour so I applaud those who made it possible and also that it not only serves as a museum, but hosts cultural activities as well. Maybe they have even filmed a movie there.

I don't know about the movie though, but I also love seeing castles that are well maintained. It is important to preserve the history, so it's such a pity when places centuries old are left in decay...

Of course, breakfast in bed would be better but I imagine they needed a table to put all the delicacies on. Do you think these people had breakfast with a small tray?
I can imagine the scene. Juices, cereals, freshly baked breads, fruits, even grilled meats, boiled or scrambled eggs, goat's milk, cheeses, butter.... The servants bringing it all there for when the duchess and the duke woke up. 😜
