Hi Hivers!, how are you all? Today I traveled to Plaosan temple which is located in Yogyakarta, Central Java. Located approximately 1.5 km from the east of the Prambanan area, an area in Klaten, Central Java, there is a temple that stands firmly with a quite unique architectural style. The temple is known as Plaosan Temple. Plaosan Temple which is estimated by historians to be built in the 9th century is now stealing the attention of many local and foreign tourists.
Not only in terms of the building, Plaosan Temple has a very interesting history to follow and listen to. The design of Plaosan Temple is a combination of two religious themes in Indonesia, namely Buddhism and Hinduism, thus making Plaosan temple a symbol of tolerance that has existed since the 9th century. with Borobudur Temple, Sari Temple, and Sewu Temple. In general, the relief sculptures at Plaosan Temple tell us about the story of the Ramayana. Ramayana is one of the traditional fiction stories belonging to the Javanese people. and Every detail of the story depicted in the relief sculptures of Plaosan Temple is very interesting to follow and can be taken as a motivation in life.
In the past, Plaosan Temple was a symbol of religious tolerance, this is because at that time, a daughter from the Klateng dynasty was a Buddhist, while at that time, Pramodhawardani, who was the daughter of Samarattungga from the Syailendra dynasty, was known to embrace Buddhism. Meanwhile, the other family of the daughter became a Hindu. The difference in embracing the religion of the princess's family did not make her restless and caused conflict, it is known in the history of the Kingdom in Indonesia, the princess and other families really ruled the kingdom very well and built many very good civilizations.
A visit to Plaosan temple is an extraordinary thing, Plaosan temple can remind us of the histories that have existed in Indonesia. You will be happy when you visit here.

An amazing temple! The final photo in your post was phenomenal! That gray sky made the colors in the temple stones pop out of the screen!
Am I right to assume that the piles of stones in some of your photos are potions of the temple that have fallen into disrepair? If so, still, so much f the temple appears perfectly preserved. Simply amazing for something this old to look so good.
Thank you for sharing this place here on Hive! An amazing temple that makes me want to visit your country to see it for myself.
