I'm sure that each of you has a special place, a place that you love, a place that you always want to return to... for me, there aren't many such places, but there is one I'm going to write about today.
It is the place where my father, my uncle, my grandparents grew up.. it is the place where my best memories were made, the place where I spent my summer vacations and the place where I felt at home.
Although we didn't live in the countryside, every trip there gave me pleasure and as children we were happiest when we went there. It was known that the summer vacation was "reserved" for this wonderful area and going to grandma and grandpa's, in their (at that time) wooden, small house, full of love, happiness and wonderful smells of grandma's kitchen. The most beautiful smells of childhood..
When grandma and grandpa were alive, we had cows and sheep and walked them in the meadows every day, but before that we had to climb a hill.. the best feeling was when grandma made us ham sandwiches and cheese that she made herself, and we get hungry as soon as we start climbing the hill, so we eat everything she prepared for us before we reach our destination, hahaha. What wonderful times..
We were just children eager for nature, air, play and running. This is also the reason why I am sorry that today's children do not feel and see it in the same way as we used to. Although today's time is the time of modern technology, digitization and phones, it is necessary to point out to today's children that it is not all about that and that sometimes it is much more important to "rest the brain", escape to some "jungle" and enjoy the fresh air.
Today, my village is a single village with 20 people, elderly people who will probably leave this world soon, like my grandparents. It's been 14 years since my grandmother was no longer with us, and it's been 8 years since my grandfather left, and since then my desire to go to the village has changed a little... I no longer have the same experience of that house, but everything else is still there what I loved, the house, beautiful landscapes, nature...
Although we go to the village less often now, my love for it has not disappeared... it is what I have left from my grandparents and the only thing (besides the wonderful memories) that binds me to them...
Now when we leave, I like to walk through the meadows where we used to walk, pick mushrooms that my grandfather used to fry for us and enjoy sitting on a stone of a big hill from which the whole village can be seen.
I can't describe my love for it, but I hope these pictures give you at least a little idea of what that place is like.
I always wanted to visit this kind of place, it is just like a paradisiacal farm land were people loves to see if In actual. As I read your post, I felt like I'm in the place. ☺️

There sure is a place that is so connected with us. Even with what our parents have lived so close to nature adds one part of an admiration to the home town.
This place looks absolutely beautiful, feels like a fresh air of life there.
Beautiful Captures too.
