It was a long way across the Australia Nullarbor Plain and The Great Australian Blight which included Australia's longest straight road at 145 kilometres.
We Left Ceduna in South Australia then arrived late and camped at the back of a road house some where near the middle then keep driving the next day. Two very long days in a small Hyundai excel.
The old Ecula Jetty
The Eucla Telegraph Station.
Kalgoorlie Mine
and an underground mine tour.
After a lot of quick over night stop it was good to finally make it to Esperance, which was the prefect place to hang out and relax for a coupe of days.
Every beach in this area was just fantastic.
Cape Le Grand National Park, a view from Frenchman's Peak, a short hike we did.
Wave Rock
Australia is a big place Western Australia is no exception. Wave Rock though impressive was a really long out and back drive and once you had seen it and took a photo there was not much else out there.
Bluff Knoll the biggest mountain in the Stirling ranges
We did the 3 hour return hike to the top and the views were well worth the effort.
1099 metres above sea level.
Next was the old whaling town of Albany.
It is nice the only whaling that is done around there now is a bit of whale watching cruising.
Denmark Inlet
There was a couple of old tall fire look out trees around Pemberton you could climb. I think this one was the Gloucester Tree, A 58m high karri tree. It was a bit nerve racking but we made it too the top, Luckily I don't remember having to pass anyone going in the other direction.
Margaret River, A famous surfing break.
Rottnest Island. We did a day trip on the ferry, hired bike and rode a lap of the Island
Quokka's where everywhere
Checking out Fremantle to end this leg of the trip.
