Hello Fellow Hivers! How are you? I hope you all are doing well. It's been a while, but here I am once again sharing with you a story about my wonderful hometown, and I'll take you to a few of many beautiful spots to go in Liloan, Cebu City.
Live Love Liloan is a famous phrase you'll hear once you are in my hometown. It may not sound as fancy as other places, but it perfectly captures the essence of our simple and relaxed way of life here. I'll take you to some of my favorite place here in my Liloan.
Bacagay Point Lighthouse, one of the oldest structures here on Liloan, was established in 1857 during the Spanish government and has been guiding the light mariners, navigators, and fishermen for over 100 years. The lighthouse stood for over a century, reminding not just the locals but also the tourists of the rich history that surrounded our small hometown.
This is one of my favorite places to visit since the place feels nostalgic and provides a warm feeling of your surroundings. Here you can relax while just sitting or just pitch your hammocks and lay as you feel the breeze of the sea. This place is fond of students who are making a history story for their school activities and also for the people who like to exercise. I recommend you visit here on early mornings or at dawn, adoring the sunrises or catching the golden hour glow.
Second, in my rapidly growing hometown of Liloan, Cebu City, a new landmark emerges: "Pier 88" quickly becomes a notable port offering more than just a place to catch a ferry but also an attraction for the people. This location provides a connection to other areas of Camotes Island, as well as Mactan Wharf in Lapu-Lapu City, making it an important destination for tourists visiting the area.
The ferry service, which operates every day and starts at 5 o'clock in the morning and ends at 6 o'clock PM, you'll find a schedule that suits your needs and guarantees easy travel between these charming locations. Pier 88 is more than just a port; it also serves a different kind of activities, dining options, convenience stores, scenic views, and lastly, organized events.
Liloan is also full of beautiful mountains like Apollo's View, Millagrosa Shrine, Tabla, and many more.
Apollo's View is one of my favorite mountains to visit because of its breathtaking 360-degree views of the ocean and city. You can enjoy the beautiful view of Man and God's creation, I like to go here to relax and also savor the moments of tranquility. Many people also love to go here, whether it's for the meantime or overnight. You can pitch your tents, picnic blanket, or just lay down on the grass and enjoy the wonderful scenic view. Hikers, bikers, motorists, or just strollers often visit this place to calm their minds and unwind from their disastrous own worlds.
Come, visit my hometown, and I'll assure you that you will enjoy it here, whether you want to go to mountains, beaches, or visit our historical sites like the famous San Fernando El Rey Parish Church (one of the oldest churches established here in Liloan), Titay's (Bakery made by Mama Titay's), and also try our delicacies like the Masi (glutinous rice balls stuffed with chopped toasted peanuts and muscovado or brown sugar) and Rosquillos (Philippine cookies made by Mama Titay's).

Thankk you @suarlex, you'll love it here. 😊
You are absolutely right my friend, thank you for sharing here, have a nice day my friend ❤️
Cebu is one of my favorite places to visit. There's so much to do there! Last year, I went to Oslob for whale shark watching, and it was an amazing experience. I have a video of the ocean animals, but I'm not sure how to turn it into a blog post—haha! There are also plenty of pasalubong (souvenirs) to buy in Cebu. The lechon (roast pig) in Carcar is truly a feast for the eyes.
I hope you can also visit here in Liloan and try our delicacies as well. You'll love our famous Rosquillos and Masi. 🤗
Oh, so that is where Rosquillos are made?
Yesss! Made by Mama Titay's.

Liloan's masi is my favourite. I had no idea Liloan has such beautiful mountain views to explore. I only know about the beaches there.
There's a lot of mountain you can visit here in liloan. I myself haven't visited them all. ☺️
Really! I will soon.
This post is so sweet. It shows how much you love Liloan. The way you talk about the town is just so charming -- from the historic Bagacay Point Lighthouse to the more modern but still beautiful Pier 88. It feels like I'm there. You know, taking in the sea breeze and the quiet. It sounds like Apollo's View is a real gem! It also seems like a great spot to unwind and , of course, enjoy nature and the little things in life. I love how much you care about the town where you're from.
Thankk youu @sydmae, Try to visit here sometime.🤗🤗
