The day we arrived on the island and got to Stalos where our accommodation was located, we went to the Esperides beach bar which became our go to beach. It's 10 minutes away by foot, the beach is nice and simple, there is a closed area where you can sit down and have food/drink and staff was very kind and friendly. My go to drink was frappe and go to food chicken gyros - I had these so many times and didn't get tired of it at all.
One day while we were at the beach two girls approached us and other people around to inform us they will dig up some sea turtle eggs and anyone interested to see how it goes can come to watch. Me and three friends of mine went to watch this process and it was quite interesting to learn something new. They gave us a lot of useful information on how we should act and behave around baby sea turtles, what we should and should not do. I had no idea one sea turtle can lay so many eggs at once so I was quite shocked when they started digging up dozens of eggs. Only six didn't hatch compared to 80 something that did! I think it's always great to take an opportunity to learn and witness something new even if it's random like this was.
Back to the "typical" beach content, first week of our stay we had a lot of cloudy days but that didn't stop us from going to the beach. I brought two books with Greece related content but I didn't end up reading much at all! However, it was nice to have the option of reading when I felt like doing so.
Here are some photos on days when it was nice and sunny! Having wine in the middle of the day is not something I practice but when you're away, enjoying your life and completely worry-free, a glass of nice wine at the beach feels like a decent option.
Staff at the Esperides beach bar already knew us well and since we were group of eight people, it was kind of hard for us to go unnoticed, haha. On days when Serbia was playing basketball at the 2023 FIBA Basketball World Cup they were kind enough to turn on TV, find the channel where we could watch and let us cheer for our country (we lost in the finals against Germany which was a bummer but it's still a great success for our team).
I'm not sure how well you can read this but on the menu there is this small section that tell a short story about Esperides or "daughters of evening" and I thought it was a really nice detail. Again, a great way to learn something new and interesting.
Surprisingly, I don't have a lot of photos of the actual beach at this location but here are two that I found. Some days it was quite empty and peaceful and it almost felt like we had an entire beach for ourselves. Sand beach, nice view, amazing food and drinks, kind staff, chill atmosphere made our stay here wonderful. On days when it was windy and cloudy and waves were present, we couldn't spend too much time in the water but I still loved spending time here!

Not bad at all!!.
Some special moments just have to keep repeating itself even though it's all related to a certain location.
No offense, but I quite like the uniqueness of Serbia names. I remember watching a football tournament in the last FIFA World cup, surprisingly I noticed that almost all players had a name that ended with VIC. I won't forget that in a hurry, though I am quite familiar with one of the most popular player Aleksandar Mitrovic.
Hey!
Yes, that is very common here in Serbia, last names to end with -ić. My last name also ends with -ić. :) Aleksandar Mitrović is probably the most famous Serbian football player at the moment, also Dušan Vlahović.
I am glad you like Serbian names and that you noticed how most of our last names end! :D
It was my pleasure 🤗
