Cinque Terre ”Five Lands”

A district of the city of Le Spezia in Liguria, Italy's northwest, that is part of the Cinque Terre National Park. Cinque Terre translates as "Five Lands." The villages of Cinque Terre are Monterosso al Mare, Vernazza, Corniglia, Manarola, and Riomaggiore.

When and with whom should you travel?

You can travel with your family, by yourself, or as a couple.
The best time to visit is in the autumn or spring, when there are fewer tourists and the weather is pleasant (between September and December).

It's important to get a guidebook because Cinque Terre has a lot of places worth seeing.
It's a good idea to learn more about Cinque Terre National Park.
You should be able to communicate in Italian if you know some basic expressions.

Don't forget to bring your ID and passport.

Warm clothing is recommended because the weather is pleasant but can occasionally rain.

You should wear comfortable shoes and bring sunglasses. It is necessaryto use sunscreen.

It's a good idea to bring a map of the National Park with you. Traveling by train between the five towns is convenient.

Monterosso al Mare is the largest of the Cinque Terre, a group of five coastal villages. The village is built on hills that are planted with lemons, vines, and olives. This small village is one of the most welcoming on the Ligurian Riviera, thanks to its amazing beaches, beautiful reefs, and crystal clear seawater.

Vernazza
You are going to the Sanctuary of Madonna di Reggio, where you will be able to admire the hillside vineyards and the coast.

Corniglia

Corniglia is the only town that is not on the coastline. This place is above the sea.

Their specialties include Vernaccia di Corniglia white wine,which dates back to the 1300s and was mentioned by Boccaccio in his famous Decameron tales. The first wine production most likely dates back to the Romans, as evidenced by the aforementioned anforas.
