Hi everybody. Not long ago, I visited Poso, Central Sulawesi. Where I work, held an event there. I was there for almost a week. When visiting an area, of course, you need to visit tourist attractions. I visited Lake Poso. At first, I didn't believe that this lake was like the sea. But, when I visited there, it was true. This lake is like the sea.
Located in Tentena City, Poso Regency, this lake is very beautiful. Not inferior to Lake Toba. Lake Poso is the third largest lake in Indonesia, after Lake Toba and Lake Singkarak. Lake Poso is famous for its golden yellow sand. The water waves in this lake are very similar to sea waves. If you look carefully. The color of the water in this lake is very unique. The water is green at the edge of the lake, but if you go to the center the water will be blue. Interesting right?
This lake is at an altitude of 657 meters with an area of around 32,000 hectares. Then, the depth reaches 510 meters. Around Lake Poso, there are hills, which are said to be planted with several plants. One of them is cloves. How long can you visit this place? From Palu City, it takes 11 hours. It's quite far and the road to the lake is not very good. But, that's how Indonesia is, in some areas it is still difficult to get good road access.
In Tentena City, every year, the Poso Lake Festival is held as a cultural display from Central Sulawesi. The goal is to attract tourists to come to this city. I have never been to this event, but hopefully, I have the opportunity to come to the agenda. Tentena City has cool air and very beautiful forests.
I asked one of the residents here if a flood occurs, the water in this lake will still be very clear. Even though it is the rainy season, the water in this lake is still very clear. I think this is very unique. One of the other unique things about Lake Poso is that on the edge of the lake, there are no rocks at the bottom of the waters. It is very safe to play. My feet didn't hurt either. Another thing, in this lake, lives a type of eel fish called Sogili Fish (another name for eel fish).
It is said that there is a guardian of the lake like a dragon in this place. What am I doing in this place? I ran around with my friends, swimming, driving around, and taking leisurely walks. You can also rent a motorboat. I don't swim here. But, I enjoy this lake. I feel that this place is like a beach. What do you think? Interesting right? The following is my story about this place, Lake Poso.
