Good evening hivers how are you? Today I'm taking you with me to one of the historic libraries of Pistoia, when I was young I often came here because I studied in this city now I prefer a library closer to me, bigger and better stocked which maybe one day I'll talk about. The forteguererriana however is a symbol of the city, founded in 1473 as I am in the city of Niccolò Forteguerri an important cardinal, in his name there is also the high school of classical studies he donated many important texts to the library. Today there are preserved many ancient historical texts and contemporary history, the section of historical texts is large but obviously it is not a library with modern fiction, however it is excellent for those who study history and need to consult specific texts, unfortunately I could not go inside and therefore for the interior I must show you some images taken from the internet. The beautiful exterior of the library that particularly struck me was done by a Florentine architect who wanted to make the library look more elegant, with a beautiful large portico where it is said the poet Carducci also stopped and admired the rain from the portico. Obviously the library is located in a square called Piazza Sapienza, what better name to build a library there? The same square that houses the library has some very beautiful views and some peculiarities such as strange colored doors and one even with fake knives on top, even the alleys around are really very beautiful and rich in history, Pistoia is truly a city rich in infinite history and beauty.

Such an amazing and informative post with incredible pictures 📸
Questa biblioteca è meravigliosa. I suoi portici sembrano enormi dalle foto. Giusto?
Wow, the buildings are so amazing, their beauty is so amazing, the architecture is so interesting ❤️
