Honeymoon trip to Corfù part two.

Here I am again to talk to you about the beautiful Corfu, after arriving and visiting the main square and the fortress from the outside we decided to give ourselves a beer break in a delightful local bar, located in a square next to the port, a small square among the many in the walkway next to the port.

Here you can find my previous post:

In Corfu the climate was really hot, and so we found this bar, favela 17 and we took a break, the nice thing is that as in every street or place in Corfu there are a lot of flowers and also a lot of perfume, the Favela17 is certainly no exception, each table was decorated with flowers and in addition to various beers their menu also offered various snacks, sandwiches, salads and cold dishes all with rigorous Mediterranean ingredients.

Afterwards we continued our walk in the old town of Corfu, every street is a masterpiece of beauty with its colors and many colorful buildings, in our walks we saw many shops the streets are full of souvenir and craft shops but also full of bars and restaurants, in short, if you are hungry or thirsty, don't worry, Corfu will feed you, and speaking of food, after walking and visiting various shops we found a restaurant a little further out from the centre, still on the port walkway called Agorà, appropriate I would say and we stopped there for lunch!

Agorà is a nice restaurant with many typical dishes, moussaka, souvlaki, gyros, feta salad etc... there is also a part of the menu dedicated to grilled meat. The prices are average and the portions are generous, the staff is really kind and were very helpful to us, we ordered the souvlaki, the classic Greek chicken skewers served with vegetables and chips, truly delicious, the meat was delicious, all accompanied from a classic blonde beer and at the end a glass of ouzo, a typical Greek anise-based liqueur. Afterwards we continued our visit, we honestly didn't have any specific destinations because it was pleasant to wander around the streets aimlessly, it's such a beautiful city! The church you see in the photos under there it's panagia church it's really charming and colourful, it's the red one situated close to the port. In Corfu there are actually many small sacred places that are beautiful to look at and not very flashy and then it is beautiful to walk around because every corner is a piece of paradise.

Then, like good Italians, as soon as we saw a Vespa we got excited and photographed it, noting that many Greeks go around on Vespas or scooters, unfortunately many even without helmets! However, we really liked Corfu. I hope to return for a longer and more in-depth visit.
