My birthday passed a while ago but I forgot to post the photos of the gift that my husband and I gave ourselves, a small day trip to Montecatini Terme not to see the city that we have already visited several times but to treat ourselves a special day and spoil ourselves a little Outdoor pools with hydromassage, two-hour wellness program with various types of saunas, emotional showers, two scented and diversified hydromassage pools, herbal tea and relaxation area, Kneipp program, salt showers, scrubs and then in the evening a nice dinner in this sumptuous hotel 4 stars in the city center. In short, for one day we felt like two rich people and we treated each other well!
As soon as we arrive we find ourselves in a nice hotel with a car park very close, at the reception they welcome us warmly, the environment is clean and furnished in a simple and airy style, there are two swimming pools, one small and one larger and one hydromassage , I enjoyed them all, but obviously my favorite was the hydromassage, the water was just right, the pools clean and the deckchairs comfortable, furthermore the few guests made the place very quiet and intimate. Perfect for a couple's day, very relaxing.
The first photos above are the photos of the entrance to the beauty centre, after a day in the pool we took advantage of it in a two-hour journey with all the things I described at the beginning. I really liked the scrub but the saunas were also a panacea and then the herbal teas were excellent. The hotel alternated rustically furnished spaces with very modern ones, there were small niches with sofas or deckchairs to sit on, a perfect place for relaxation
And then we come to dinner, a four-course dinner in the hotel restaurant, a very luxurious restaurant, well furnished with a bilingual menu that changes every day, the place is really beautiful and in my opinion it is also a nice restaurant for anniversaries or appointments elegant.
the appetizer was a buffet with a wide choice of boiled vegetables, croutons, egg rolls, seeds, caprese and stewed cherry tomatoes. As a first course you can see the options in the photo of the menu, I took the spinach cream soup, very good and delicate, tasty and plentiful my husband took the swordfish pasta with cherry tomatoes and olives he says that the fish sauce was also very delicate it's delicious. To accompany dinner we ordered red wine.
For the second course we both took skewers of meat mixed with vegetables and focaccia, the meat was delicious, it melted in your mouth! And then obviously the dessert, for me a classic panna cotta with caramel and for my husband a puff pastry with Chantilly cream and mini cannoli. The dinner was to our liking as well as the whole day, for me Hotel Manzoni has a good score of ten!
