Hello dear readers! We are back with new adventures in our city. We recently went a sheep festival. This event attracted hundreds of local residents and many guests from other cities. There were really a lot of people. We love these lively streets, fairs, exhibitions, farm products - and fortunately, it was all right here in our small area.
As I mentioned, this festival was in honor of sheep, and these animals are very much valued here in Norway. Many different home products are made from wool, such as carpets. Norwegians love eco-friendly products and always give preference to them. So at the sheep fest, one could see not only the furry animals from different municipalities, but also many beautiful products made from their wool.
Music was playing loudly on the main square of the city, many shops were pleasing with their products, people were having fun with their families, the fragrance of food was spreading throughout the city, and we were happy about this event, looking at all this.
Of course, the first location was an exhibition with sheep. They were located in small pens, where their owners had prepared hay and water in advance. I have never seen so many sheep in one place in my life. It was really interesting to look at them because they were all different: white, cream, brown, black. You can see with the naked eye that the farmers make every effort to keep the animals comfortable.
There are vintage cars a little further away. Car collecting is one of the most popular hobbies for wealthy Norwegians. You can often see such cars on the streets of large cities and small villages in Norway. Locals are very proud of their cars and often organize festivals dedicated to vintage cars.
You can also see a large assortment of flowers and plants. Once or twice a week, this floral corner is open in the city center and never goes unnoticed. Like on this day, locals just love to decorate their homes with flowers, especially in the spring, when the environment is in full bloom.
There were also mobile cafes. Here you could try baked potatoes, hot dogs, hamburgers, in the tent the choice of dishes was larger and among them we especially highlighted a delicious pilaf with meat. For children, there were various sweets: lollipops, cotton candy, chewing gum, sodas, candy, cookies, popcorn, and much, much more.
I want to pay special attention to farm products. These are truly unique products that are filled with love and benefit. Different kinds of honey, jams, preserves, juices - all natural and organic! Of course, I bought a jar of farm honey and was delighted with its texture and taste. I believe that everyone should buy a jar of quality honey in the fall season. As for the prices, they are not very different from the store prices. The jar is 400 grams. Cost 110 nok (10 dollars), when in the store 200 grams. 60-80 nok($7). Before buying, you can always taste and choose the best product for yourself.
There is also a cult of knitted items in Norway. Even the youngest ones wear knitted sweaters or hats. Here at the fair, there is no limit to this category. A lot of socks, sweaters and other products for every taste and budget. I believe that these are the things that should be appreciated: how much love and care is put into each product.
Antiques are not left without attention. The prices for such goods are relatively high, but how unique are all these vases, dishes, sets, decor. Personally, I really liked these wreaths and small bottles, I even imagined for a minute how I would use them in my interior.
In general, we are very pleased with this really massive festival. We had a lot of fun and didn't even want it to end. This festival was a good opportunity to get acquainted with authentic Norwegian culture, flavors and crafts that reveal the richness of the local heritage. Доброго дня, друзі! Ми повернулися до вас з новими пригодами у нашому місті. Нещодавно в нас відбувся фестиваль вівць. Ця подія привернула увагу сотень місцевих мешканців і багатьох гостей з інших міст. Людей було дійсно дуже багато. Ми дуже любимо ці жваві вулиці, ярмарки, виставки, фермерську продукцію - і, на щастя, все це було прямо тут, у нашому маленькому містечку.
Як я вже зазначила, цей фестиваль був на честь вівць, ці тварини дуже цінуються тут, у Норвегії. З шерсті роблять багато різних виробів для дому, таких, як наприклад, килими. Норвежці обожнюють екологічні вироби і завжди передають перевагу саме їм. Тож на місцевому ярмарку у цей день можна було побачити не тільки самих пухнастиків з різних комун, але й багато гарних виробів з їх шерсті.
Гучно лунала музика на головній площі міста, багато магазинів радували своєю продукцією, люди не розважалися сім’ями, аромат їжі розповсюджувався по цілім місті, а ми радісні від такого заходу, все це роздивлялися.
Звісно, першою локацією була виставка з вівцями. Вони були розташовані у невеличких загонах, де їхні власники попередньо підготували сіно та водичку. Я ніколи в житті ще не бачила такої кількості вівць в одному місці. Було дійсно цікаво розглядати їх, тому що усі були різні: білі, кремові, коричневі, чорні. Неозброєним оком можна побачити, що фермери докладають максимум зусиль для комфорту тварин.
Трохи поодаль розташовані ретро автомобілі. Колекціонування авто - це одне з найпопулярніших хобі для заможних норвежців. Дуже часто можна побачити такі автомобілі на вулицях великих міст і маленьких сел Норвегії. Місцеві дуже пишаються своїми автівками і частенько роблять фестивалі присвячені ретро автомобілям.
Також можна побачити великий асортимент квітів і рослин. Раз чи два на тиждень цей флористичний куточок працює у центрі міста і ніколи не залишається без уваги. Як і в цей день, місцеві мешканці просто обожнюють облаштовувати свої будинки квітами, особливо навесні, коли довкілля по-справжньому цвіте.
Були тут і мобільні кафе. Тут можна було спробувати печену картоплю, хот-доги, гамбургери, у шатрі вибір страв був більшим і серед них особливо виділили смачний плов з м’ясом. Для дітей тут були різні солодощі: льодяники, солодка вата, жуйки, газовані напої, цукерки, печиво, поп-корн і багато-багато іншого.
Особливу увагу я хочу приділити фермерській продукції. Це справді унікальні продукти, що наповнені любов’ю та користю. Різні сорти меду, джеми, варення, соки - і все натуральне та органічне! Звісно, я придбала баночку фермерського меду і була в захваті від його текстури і смаку. Я вважаю, що в осінній сезон кожен має придбати баночку якісного меду. Щодо цін, то вони не дуже й відрізняються від магазинних. Баночка об’ємом 400 гр. Обійшлася в 110 крон (10 доларів), коли в магазині 200 гр. 60-80 крон (7 доларів). Перед покупкою ви завжди можете скуштувати і обрати найкращий продукт для себе.
Також в Норвегії існує культ в’язаних речей. Навіть наймолодші носять в’язаниі светрики чи шапочки. Тут, на ярмарці, немає межі для цієї категорії. Безліч шкарпеток, светрів та інших виробів на любий смак і гаманець. Я вважаю, що це такі речі мають цінуватися: скільки любові та турботи вкладено в кожен виріб.
Не залишився без уваги й антикваріат. Ціни на такі товари відносно високі, але ж наскільки унікальні всі ці вази, посуд, сервізи, декор. Особисто мені дуже сподобалися ці віночки та маленькі пляшечки, я навіть на хвилину уявила, як я використала би їх у своєму інтер’єрі.
Загалом, ми дуже задоволені цим по-справді масштабним фестивалем. Ми отримали купу задоволення і навіть не хотіли, щоб це закінчувалося. Цей фестиваль був гарною можливістю ознайомитися з аутентичною норвезькою культурою, смаками та ремеслами, що розкривають багатство місцевої спадщини.
