Recently I traveled to the resort town of Jermuk, to be in nature, relax, and enjoy its renowned mineral water. In full Autumn weather, it was pleasant and beautiful to walk around and see the sights. Even better — many of the popular attractions are free.
Please enjoy the collection of images below from my visit, as well as the vlog that I recorded, linked at the end of this article.

Jermuk, Armenia
Coming back from the waterfalls, there was a nice path and gorgeous rocks. Arriving back in Jermuk center after lunch, I checked out these giant stone heads scattered around the man-made pond. Then I made my way to explore the abandoned Soviet sports center perched on the shore.

Soviet Sports Complex, Jermuk, Armenia
Walking around the abandoned Soviet Sports Complex in Jermuk, you really felt how ravaged the interior was — both by forces of nature and also humans. More symbolically, a large community center like this now sitting vacant leaves a hole and constant reminder of better days. This is both a result of lack of money and neglect, and while I was fascinated, I remained respectful and non-destructive while exploring the space.

Finishing up the day's exploration, I took in the beautiful center of town. It was a fun and productive day!

Wow dude that place looks awesome, the water and scenary looks amazing, pity about the sports center though.
Yeah, it was definitely a nice surprise. There are lots of skeletons like this in the Former Soviet Union.
Yeah I think I watched a video about the sports center on youtube a while back, such a shame.
But your photos give more dept to the local area, beautiful landscapes and waters
