RE: English Bay Beach and Sunset Beach in Vancouver BC

in Worldmappin2 years ago

Beautiful photos.

Vancouver is nice, but for beaches and swimming in crystal clear water I prefer the Great Lakes…. Superior and Huron…. In Ontario.

We spend the summers there.

In many of the sheltered bays, the water warms up to about 80 Celsius in August.

Whaaaat!? 🥰❤❤

I've never been to those parts of Canada...hopeully one day!

But wait, all these photos are Lake Photos? The blue waters look heavenly! 🙄💙
Also 80°C? Are you sure?

Definitely I would prefer these lakes over the crowded beaches in Vancouver. I was just saying that for a city so big, a beach place like English Bay Beach or Summer Beach is quite nice.

I love all the photos! Really beautiful!

Yes. We go swimming in Lake Huron and Superior every July and August … in certain sheltered bays the water warms up. But cools off again on windy days.

Wow! So its warms up to 80°C? Sounds insanely cool to naturally water get these temperatures.

Anyways, sounds amazing! My husband was born near Toronto. Maybe I'm in love with Canada for the fact that he is a Canadian. Yet, I didnt visit that part of Canada. I really hope one day though...
