Cuba es más que playas, sol, tabaco, mujeres o política, y quiero traerles esta vez una pequeña colección que sin darme cuenta he hecho.

Estas fotografías las he tomado con mi móvil en mi trayecto a la casa o al trabajo, o simplentente caminando por ahí.

Son la flores de mi país, las comunes, las que te puedes encontrar en cualquier pedazo de tierra en medio de la ciudad, no las de invernadero o jardín botanico o las que crecen silvetres y tranquilas en los campos. Son la que sobreviven a lluvias, polvo, sol, pisadas y contaminación en medio del bullicio de la ciudad. Aunque solo expongo aquí las que he podido captar con mi cámara no significa que sean las únicas, me faltan mucha más que espero sean contenido de otro post. Empecemos!!!!!
They are the flowers of my country, the common ones, the ones that you can find in any piece of land in the middle of the city, not those in a greenhouse or botanical garden or those that grow wild and calm in the fields. They are the ones that survive rain, dust, sun, footsteps and pollution in the midst of the hustle and bustle of the city.Although I only expose here those that I have been able to capture with my camera, it does not mean that they are the only ones, I am missing much more that I hope will be the content of another post. Orquídeas moradas // Purple orchids.
Sus flores poseen formas extrañas y exóticas, aunque estas son las más comunes aun así es un reto cultivarlas y que florezcan.

Lirios // Lilys
No son endémicas de Cuba pero se dan perfectamente aquí.
Los lirios más grandes exhalan un fuerte perfume, sobre todo de noche, tienen seis pétalos que pueden ser de diferentes colores. Florece en primavera y verano.
They are not endemic to Cuba but they thrive here.
The largest lilies exhale a strong perfume, especially at night, they have six petals that can be of different colors. It blooms in spring and summer.
Bola de fuego o alfiletero // Fireball or pincushion
Proveniente de Africa esta planta no pasa desapercibida para nadie. Hacen un ciclo impresionante,
se pierde por completo de la superficie durante todo el invierno, pierde sus hoja y tallo. En primavera us hojas salen de un tallo que va brotando. La planta crece y alcanza un tamaño de unos 20 centímetros de largo. Florecen en verano, la flor dura par de semanas inherte, solo una. En el otoño, se va secando hasta desaparecer por completo durante todo el invierno.
Coming from Africa, this plant does not go unnoticed by anyone. They make an impressive cycle,
it is completely lost from the surface throughout the winter, losing its leaves and stems. In spring our leaves come out of a stem that is sprouting. Rosas Silvestres // Wild roses
Más pequeñas y menos opulentas que sus primas las grandiosas rosas, resaltan precisamente por eso, su tamaño, colores, variedad y avidez. La reina de los jardines y patios cubanos.

La desconocida // The unknown
Dejo esta para último porque como ven no sé que planta es, aunque pequeña me llamó la atención porque todo es rojo en ella, la flor, la hoja y el tallo. Aunque no tiene más de 30 cm de altura ya floreció con un brote de considerable tamaño para su estatura. Al contrario de las demás no es muy común en los jardines. Es un completo misterio para mi, así que aprovechando esto y como me encanta tener comentarios quería que si alguno sabe su nombre lo escriba por favor, así todos lo sabremos.
I leave this for last because as you can see I don't know what plant it is, although it was small it caught my attention because everything is red in it, the flower, the leaf and the stem. Although it is no more than 30 cm tall, it has already flowered with a bud of considerable size for its height. Contrary to the others, it is not very common in gardens.
