Hello everyone and welcome to my blog :-)

The afternoon progressed in Cerveira, and with it arrived the long-awaited golden hour, highlighting the beauty of everything around it. Our tour took us to the serene banks of the River Minho. It's incredible how this year in November we are enjoying some sunny and warm days (too hot) for this time of year.

Saturday brings a lively rhythm to the village, with the weekly market occupying the streets and squares. A typical smell of that height spread through the air. We stopped next to a smiling vendor, who served us a hot cartridge of chestnuts ("hot and good"). We sat on a nearby bench, overlooking the river, tasting and enjoying the view. People of all ages walked around the area, some accompanied by dogs, others chatting happily, while children ran around carefree and others hurried after making purchases.

Being so close to the border, we noticed that many Spanish people were walking around here.
On the riverbank we found two figurines that look the same to me but with different fillings. The way they are placed looks like a continuous movement of a fisherman running towards the river.

After some time enjoying that scenery, we decided to explore a little more. We went up through stone streets until we reached a small square. In the center, we find the Chapel of São Sebastião, a simple building but with enormous charm. The chapel, with its white facade and simple details, radiated serenity. We stopped for a moment to admire its beauty and realize that everything was peaceful nearby, but right next door there was all the hustle and bustle that can be felt at fairs.

Our tour didn't stop there and I still have a few more things to show you, more specifically the center of the town where we walked through the narrow streets so typical of these regions. Cerveira was a very happy bet and I hope to return there.

The driving route from Porto to Vila Nova de Cerveira is simple and follows mainly the A28:

Leave Porto via the A28, which starts in the Matosinhos area.
Follow the A28 towards Viana do Castelo. This is a direct and well-signposted highway.
After Viana do Castelo, continue on the A28 towards Caminha and Vila Nova de Cerveira.
Take the exit for Vila Nova de Cerveira and follow the signs leading to the center of the village.
The journey takes around 1h15 to 1h30, depending on traffic. It's a beautiful coastal route, with coastal views in some sections.

I hope you enjoyed.
See you around.
Wishing you much peace and health
