Hello Hivernauts
The beach season begins at the majestic Orinoco River and the beautiful sunsets with the warmth of one of the most beautiful landscapes we have in Ciudad Bolivar, the capital of Bolivar State in Venezuela.
In this country there are no summer or winter seasons, and that is due to our position only two degrees above the equator. In Venezuela we only have two climatic periods, the dry period that we usually call "summer" and the rainy period that we usually call "winter".
In the first months of the year there is very little rainfall so the rivers descend dramatically creating huge beaches in the largest rivers such as the Orinoco River that crosses the entire country.
Yesterday afternoon I went for a walk on the boardwalk of Paseo Orinoco and visited the beach of La Cocuyera, located in the north of Ciudad Bolivar. This beautiful beach is uncovered during the months of December until the end of May when the Orinoco River begins to rise and floods the entire shore of the city.
La Cocuyera beach is a beautiful place where Bolivarians come to enjoy the afternoons, contemplate the sunsets, recreate and also stroll with their families. During the beach season this is everyone's favorite place to take casual pictures and the ideal place for professional photographers and models of the city, here I love to take pictures throughout the season.
This year the beach promises to be splendorous with lots of soft sand and calm waters, ideal for swimming, fishing and even for outdoor sports activities.
During my tour yesterday afternoon I saw many young people strolling and enjoying themselves, I was touched to see a young girl celebrating her fifteenth birthday while her mom was taking pictures of her in this beautiful setting. She seemed to be the happiest girl in the world.
I took advantage of spending a couple of hours here and watching the sunset to take these pictures and share them with you. It fills me with pride to show the world the tourist wonders of my beautiful Ciudad Bolivar.
If you ever visit this region of Venezuela, come and visit the Orinoco Promenade of Ciudad Bolivar and marvel at the Orinoco River and its enchanting sunsets.
See you soon!

In other places it is easier to explain the weather, but here the seasons are usually "hot", "very hot" and "hot with rain". I completely agree, Ciudad Bolívar and Cocuyera Beach are a tourist destination.
