My journey through the northwest of the country took me to one of the oldest buildings in the autonomous community of Galicia in the northwest of the Iberian Peninsula. The area where it is located is in one of the arms of the sea that penetrate the Galician coast, the Arosa estuary. Located in the province of Pontevedra, I left the capital on the AP-9 toll motorway until reaching the exit towards A Pobra do Carabiñal on the AG-11 road until reaching the other end of the estuary. In this place I had two specific objectives that I had been informed about, the Corrubedo dunes natural park and the Axeitos Dolmen, which was my main objective in this adventure through Galician lands.

I arrived at the site where there was a good parking area to begin this visit. The first thing I did was go to the interpretation centre to find out about the characteristics of this megalithic construction of our ancestors. They told me that this place had unique characteristics in terms of its location and construction. Studies on this dolmen show that it is a tomb and that it had been much larger than what is now preserved. A collective burial or an important person, a chief or shaman, could be the purpose of this construction on the strategic hill of this place.
The feeling I got from walking through this place was special, a key point on the planet as happens in other places. The energy and magic that it transmitted to me was a feeling and a thought of belonging to a general collective. The mystical connection in this place led me to connect with those people who lived in these lands and who are part of our ancestors. I am amazed to know about the techniques they had for this type of construction with the available means and how among those techniques there are mysteries still to be clarified.
A short distance south from this site I headed to the mouth of the Longo River and its marshes where there is one of the largest sand dune formations in the region. The so-called Corrubedo Dunes or Olveira Dunes are part of a protected ecosystem forming the Corrubedo Natural Park. The beaches of Castro and Do Vilar are the southernmost point on this peninsula that forms in the northern part of the Arosa estuary. A beautiful protected sandy area that is accessed by a wooden structure and reaches the foot of the largest dune.

Later I went to visit some of the beaches in the town and I was able to appreciate the beauty of these beautiful white sand beaches that were not very crowded. Do Coroso beach near the port of Ribeira was going to be the destination. I stopped and started walking along this beautiful beach, still feeling the energy that having been at that point of the dolmen produced in me, as I felt that my emotional and physical batteries were fully recharged.

On my way back, some stalls with typical Galician food caught my attention and I stopped by them. The look of those delicacies captured my attention and I couldn't resist trying and taking some of them home. Galician bread from Cea, scallop pie, scallops or sardines and the doughnuts called "melindros" in Galicia.
