Hola amigos viajeros, hoy vamos a dar un paseo en uno de los jardines botanicos mas bonitos de europa! y creo que debe ser el mas bonito de Portugal, una perfecta obra de arte que combina la hermosa vista de Funchal y una decoracion japonesa que da ese toque especial a un jardin que no solo se enfoca en las hermosas plantas tropicales de la isla si no tambien hace un recorrido en el tiempo para ver las influencias africanas dentro de Portugal! disfruta de mi experiencia⛅🌷🌼🌻
History of the Garden🌲📷🌍/ Historia del Jardin🌷🌼🚙
The park is not very old and opened its doors to the public in 1960, it was built by a family that settled in Portugal in the 19th century! there is a mixture of culture and learning institutions within the premises, in 1963 it was bought by the funchal chamber and becomes a government space for the general public and tourists!🌷🌲🌻
El parque no es muy antiguo y abrio sus puertas al publico en "1960", fue construido por una familia que se asentaron en portugal en el "siglo XIX"! hay una mezcla de instituciones de cultura y aprendizaje dentro de las instalaciones, en "1963 fue comprado por la camara de Funchal" y pasa a ser un espacio del gobierno destinado al publico en general y turistas!🌼⛅🚩🌳
How to get to the garden🌲📷🌍/ Como llegar al Jardin🌷🌼🚙
First of all if you come to Portugal and visit the island of Madeira you cannot miss this beautiful tourist site, getting here is actually a bit complicated because there are no parking lots, so we chose to park the vehicle a few kilometers in Funchal and then walk. so far! it's a big climb so you have to be prepared, the garden is located in the area of Funchal let's say about 15 minutes from the center, you can take a cable car to get here you pay about 15 euros per person! at the same time you can take it to go down to the city!😲🌍
Primero que nada si vienes a Portugal y visitas la isla de Madeira no puedes perderte este hermoso sitio turistico, llegar aqui en realidad es un poco complicado porque no hay parques de estacionamiento, por tanto optamos por estacionar el vehiculo algunos kilometros en Funchal para luego caminar hasta aqui! es una gran subida asi que tienes que estar preparado, el jardin esta ubicado en la zona de Funchal digamos que a unos 15minutos del centro, puedes tomar un teleferico para llegar aqui pagas unos 15 euros por persona! al mismo tiempo puedes tomarlo para bajar a la ciudad!🌷🌼🌻🤑

When you pay your ticket, which is 12 euros per person, you go to a small area with a tree that surprised me because it is a tree that was planted in 300 after Christ! what?? Will this be the oldest tree in Portugal? in Europe? It was planted in an area that was ruled by the Romans, so it was transported to this garden to show tourists the culture and history of Portugal! Cuando pagas tu entrada que son 12euros por persona, pasas a una pequeña area con un arbol que me sorprendio porque es un arbol que fue sembrado "en el 300 despues de cristo"!! quee?? sera este el arbol mas viejo de portugal¿ de europa?? fue sembrado en una zona que era gobernada por los romanos, por tanto fue transportado a este jardin para mostrar a los turistas la cultura e historia de Portugal! si no lo sabias Portugal es uno de los paises mas antiguos en consagrarse en europa!🚙🛺🚕

The Madeira Botanical Garden has more than 70,000 square meters well used and you can find very nice decorations and many exotic flowers and plants, currently there are more than 2100 species of plants ready for your disposal! And without counting the great variety of endemic birds of the island and the beautiful view towards the Atlantic and Funchal!🚩🧭🌄
El jardin botanico de Madeira tiene mas de 70mil metros cuadrados bien aprovechados y puedes encontrar decoraciones muy bonitas y muchas flores y plantas exoticas, actualmente hay mas de "2100 especies de plantas dispuestas" para tu disposicion! y sin contar la gran variedad de aves endemicas de la isla y la hermosa vista hacia el atlantico y funchal!🚕🚙🌲
The real name of the garden is "Monte Palace" when the land was bought by the "Reis" family in 1880, a beautiful mansion had already been built, later this space was rebuilt by the Funchal chamber creating a Museum that, as you can see, has many statues and stone busts where they show that mixture of African culture since many African countries were Portuguese colonies!😲🌍
El nombre real del jardin es "Monte Palace" cuando el terreno fue comprado por la familia "Reis" en 1880 ya se habia construido una hermosa mansion posteriormente este espacio fue recostruido por la camara de Funchal creando un Museo que como puedes ver tiene muchas estatuas y bustos de piedras donde muestran esa mezcla de cultura africana ya que muchos paises de africas fueron colonias portuguesas!🌷🌼🌻🤑
When you enter this area you feel a different energy, it seems to me that it is that idea of the different cults, rituals that many African tribes have, but at the same time humility invades you because they are poor countries where people give their maximum to be able to get their family of poverty and many use art as a form of profit!💖💖

As you walk you can pass many beautiful waterfalls decorated with marble sculptures, but what caught my attention the most were the architecture of the bridges inside the park! They have a very beautiful Japanese style! It is a space for all ages and if you come with your partner it is also very romantic because despite there being many tourists you have your privacy since it is very large!🌲🚙🌄
Mientras caminas puedes pasar por muchas hermosas cascadas decoradas con esculturas de marmol, pero lo que mas capto mi atencion fueron la arquitectura de los puentes dentro del parque! tienen un estilo japones muy hermoso! es un espacio para todas las edades y si vienes con tu pareja tambien es muy romantico porque apesar de haber muchos turistas tienes tu privacidad ya que es muy grande!💖🧭💖
You may believe that it is a simple botanical garden, but I will explain to you that the region of Madeira is famous because it is much further south of the center of Portugal and ends up having a more "tropical" climate. If you are not a fan of botany, do not worry, inside the garden there is a space with a huge house that has exhibitions of the fauna of the island and also of the geology, the former owner of the mansion had very sophisticated tastes and they are still preserved furniture with more than two centuries old the walk through the park can last about 2 hours because it is quite large😎🌍🌴
Si no eres fanatico de la botanica no te preocupes que dentro del jardin hay un espacio con una enorme casa que tiene exhibiciones de la fauna de la isla y tambien de la geologia, el antiguo dueño de la mansion tenia gustos muy sofisticados y aun se conservan muebles con mas de dos siglos de antiguedad el paseo por el parque puede durar unas 2 horas porque es bastante grande🌄🧭🚩
My favorite part? certainly when we pass by these pieces of Chinese arts! they have a famous inspiration: (terracotta soldiers) in the garden we get many lakes also full of aquatic plants and many carp fish!😎💖👨🎓
Mi parte favorita? sin duda cuando pasamos por estas piezas de artes chinas! tienen una inspiracion a la famosa: (soldados terracota) en el jardin conseguimos muchos lagos llenos tambien de plantas acuaticas y muchos peces carpas!🌲💖🚙🧭
Inside the garden there is an area called "floral terrace" it is the most beautiful part in terms of landscapes because you have a 360 degree view of the entire city of funchal, and the "laurisilva" nature reserve🌼🌷🌳
Dentro del jardin hay un area llamada "terraza floral" es la parte mas bonita en cuanto a paisajes porque tienes una vista 360grados hacia toda la ciudad de funchal, y la reserva natural de "laurisilva"🧭🌼🌷🌳
The botanical garden is part of our culture, and there is much to learn in this beautiful space! we can practically always flowers, there is a huge collection of orchids I have no idea but there are more than 200 plants on display with all possible mutations!😲🌍
